Ol' #4 still causing hate and discontent and he's gone Johnson! Gotta love it!
Well he ain't exactly quite gone yet. He is still a Raider at the moment. The fact that he will be making more than a million for a game not played this weekend means he is very much still a problem that needs to be dealt with.
When he is finally gone, I fully expect the Carr threads to disappear or moved elsewhere and soon to dissipate into oblivion.
I for one cannot wait to talk about the next QB and suspect most are also. But until then...he is very much a hot topic, not only here but in the media. So yes, until the turd is flushed, it is a concern.
Agreed, but when you are married with kids, discernment MUST kick in. You have to assess yourself as an adult male and embrace responsibility. Perhaps the saddest part of this thing is how comfortable he appears to be with his brothers fighting his battles. It's so off putting to witness. And this is on top of crying and pussified play.
Yup, we agree. I should have said “almost as much” because ultimately he is his own man. I just imagine he lives in a very warped reality, almost Truman Show esque. That part was out of Derek’s control, he was born into it, and getting out would require real motivation.
No doubt that at the end of the day it’s his failure for not being motivated to do so — and it’s likely the reason he’s not a better player. He has raw talent, but it remains unrefined because he’s always been shielded from the criticism he needed to hear. He should’ve demanded to be able to hear it rather than remain complacent, but just imagining what his world is like I have my doubts that he even knows to ask the question

Still waiting for Derek to say something, anything, to Raider Nation.
Now, we crotchety old bastards who know what a good QB looks like deserve nothing from him, but the mental gymnastics employed by his followers to defend his every flaw, is gold medal worthy.
How bout it Derek?

Maybe he's moving on to his next calling. If this wasn't from a credible source, I would have thought it was fake.
Hue is a snake based on what exactly?
Why would he sit up there and just lie like that?
On some super obscure interview with a random YouTuber? Lmao - what would be the purpose?
What do you mean “why would he lie like that?” Because Hue looks like a f[raiders_icon]cking idiot if he tells the truth, which he is. It was a huge trade and contract so yes, Mark Davis had to give his stamp of approval. Mark had also recently just lost his father and he was in no condition emotionally, or professionally, to sign off on anything.
Reality is that pretty much no coach or GM trades first round picks and signs a QB to a new big contract without the owner on any team blessing it. Decisions like that are always at least run past the owner.
But regardless of what Hue is saying now, after he knows that the Palmer trade didn't work out for the team, Hue said in the intro press conference that he went to Mark Davis and said that Palmer was the guy he needed.
https://www.raiders.com/video/carson-pa ... ce-6102538
Davis may have reached out to the Browns organization on behalf of the team, but Hue works pretty hard in the intro press conference to let it be known that Palmer was the guy he wanted and that he thought it was a brilliant trade. So maybe he was lying then, or maybe he's lying now. Seems more likely he's lying now because the failure of that trade is a strike against him and he's trying to run from it. Lying about it is just another strike.
I disagree and think the exact opposite.
Hue is a politician and is going to roll with whatever the narrative set by the superiors is approved. Sure, he was giddy about the signing, he was supposed to be, he was trying to establish himself as the raiders coach
4 years removed and no reason to protect mark or the NFL for that matter, he said f[raiders_icon]ck it and told the truth. He had more to lose on the front end than he does now.

The fact is, Hue said Mark did it. Greg papa said mark did it
I have yet to see anything disproving what Hue has said. Besides an ESPN article giving a strong attempt at using different associations to provide a narrative.
