Hondo's silence might be the single biggest piece of evidence that Mark is not part of the process. Which I view as a good thingMarzan wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 7:13 am They must have sedated Mark. This lack of leaks is disconcerting. Even Hondo has nothing to fill the white noise with

If the Raiders already have a fav, I wish they'd go ahead and pull the trigger, because as time goes on the pickin's get slimmer and we may end up with our 4th or 5th choice.

I think the silence means that the favorite is coaching this weekend, so they can't pull the trigger yet...... at least not publicly.raidersince63 wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 7:39 am If the Raiders already have a fav, I wish they'd go ahead and pull the trigger, because as time goes on the pickin's get slimmer and we may end up with our 4th or 5th choice.

Don't worry I'm sure Hondo will be putting up a video of a close up of his nostrils saying he had dinner with a hall of fame coach that he can't name telling him his wife is beautiful and he doesn't deserve her while giving him the most mundane boiler plate quote that blows his f[raiders_icon]cking mind any minute now.Marzan wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 7:13 am They must have sedated Mark. The thing that worries me is the number of other teams we could say the same about.chucker wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 7:43 am I think the silence means that the favorite is coaching this weekend, so they can't pull the trigger yet...... at least not publicly.

I understand that. Personally I don't worry about it because we have a dramatically different opportunity than the other teams and I want someone who values the resources we have to offer more than those other opportunities. It's not a job for the faint of heart, but it's a job that could be a huge win for the right guy who embraces the opportunity and the challenges that come with it.Jeevo wrote: Thu Jan 22, 2026 8:26 am The thing that worries me is the number of other teams we could say the same about.

Also have to wonder if Brady had conversations with any coaches last weekend when he was in Seattle calling the game.
