I think I stated before I never hated on Carr because he was a Raider. I’m always going to root for the Raider QB to succeed no matter who it is. It just became obvious after 2016 that he wasn’t the guy. He became a fraud with the anomaly of last year, 2nd year of Covid restrictions, the NFL and the media rallying behind us cause of the distractions, and the ball bouncing the right way..especially off the foot of Carlson. I speak for myself that I was frustrated with watching him throw the ball away at any sign of pressure and the noticeable happy feet in the pocket. I know it was Stidham’s first start, but watching him take off at the first sign of pressure like a draw play up the middle was a breath of fresh air.
That being said, yes once a Raider always a Raider. Thank you for your service Carr. Good luck and Godspeed, you are relieved.

Dude was a stat whore who fooled people into believing he was more. Made fraudulent statements about how much he cared about winning and his mamba mentality. Finally he took plenty of money that could have gone to others more deserving.
Screw him and good riddance.
You’re so dumb. Basically saying if you like Carr you should leave this forum. Dumb bitch.
There is nothing wrong with liking Carr, you are overreaching here, totally uncalled for.
As for the Carrsexuals, I would be lying if I denied enjoying their meltdowns this week. Has been glorious to say the least, I hope they stay.
I know we didn't win much, but anything less than a SuperBowl means nothing anyhow.
I agree that this was likely never a SuperBowl team with or without Derek and we only missed our shot at 9 of those under Derek. We missed on the last over 30 though before him.
I don't regret that he was the QB that was here during that time, and I honestly keep trying to compare it to Schroeder who to me felt like he played forever also. This was rosy compared to the years of watching Schroeder.
The reality simply is that Derek needs too much around him. I think he hit a legitimate 11-13 QB rank in his time. That is an amazing accomplishment.
If he finds that magic system and magic coach and wins it all - Awesome. It simply is not here. For his cost, he would need to have played like a top 10 QB this year and prove that he is clutch in late season playoff implication level and cold weather games. Instead he fell to QB 18 or so and choked over 4 playoff hunt games and the worst when it was cold.
McDaniels is not truly the reason why he is gone imo. You can blame Mahommes, Allen, Jackson, and Burrows. The AFC is nuts and we have to get closer than Carr if we want our names in the hat. We are not a 40 million dollar warm weather QB away. We also have to realize that 3 of those QBs play in outdoor freezing stadiums in January.
It is business.
I thank Carr for his time and will always look back somewhat fondly honestly. I hated some of his flaws, but overall it could have been much worse. Like Ferrel, too much was asked of him.
It was the TebowMania level of fandom I hated. The lack of any accountability on Derek by his helicopter moms. That was the worst Raider experience I have, but it was not Carr's fault for that overall and I learned a ton debating with them.
Good luck Derek, once a Raider always a Raider. You earned your Shield and thank you.
Jeremy, I usually don't always read long posts in their entirety, but yours was exceptional from the 1st to last sentence. WELL DONE!!!!!!
I strongly believe he'll waive his no trade clause for at least one interested team, and if he doesn't then I wouldn't cut him. If he wants to be a dick, so can we. He'll never be a backup anywhere because his fragile psyche couldn't handle it.
Question is how much will it cost the Raiders to get Carr to defer the guarantees in his current deal.
I’d assume any agent would say accept the money, assuming he’d be cut anyways and free to negotiate a new deal with a new team. Would seem to be smart business on his end.
Will the Raiders make a play or will Carr’s ego get in the way. Exciting offseason to be sure.

Thank you #4. You were a class act and with all the dysfunction and awful defense you still somehow managed 2 winning seasons and playoff births.
Good luck in the future!
They got a great defense and make it easy, if that's not a shot at the Raiders, I don't know what is.
I would love to see him play for the jets, they have a top 5 defense.
I would love to see him play for the Jets (or NE for that matter), too. Just to see him play in and navigate that media market with that pressure. Imagine the NY or Boston newspapers after him crying in a press conference. Would not be spun as "passionate", I can be certain.

Derek does not want New York media problems.
There will be no coddling and excuse making,
And the minute they see him get in the fetal position while in the pocket, they will mock him into oblivion.
He should look for gigs that don’t necessarily require him to play in could weather, All NFC South teams. Colts in that dome (although they may LOL at him for being the only QB to lose to Jeff Saturday)

I laugh at all the national media takes pointing to the Jets making the most sense for both sides. No F'ing way. Carr doesn't want any of that smoke and he damn well knows it.

What I want to know is where are the Stans to tell us how the D let the team down? Where are the Stans to ask how many points does our QB have to put up? Where are the Stans to ask what's wrong with the o-line , did you see Miller driven back on that last int?
Any integrity Carr guys?
