The McD thread is locked so I'm posting today's presser here. Not sure why they called this breaking news.

These 6+ long miserable f[raiders_icon]cking years of watching that f[raiders_icon]cking dude. GD man, I can’t stand that f[raiders_icon]cking dude. Watching him play football was such incredible f[raiders_icon]cking misery. Never have I, and hope I never will again, see a softer son’ova’bich in the Silver & Black.
I’ll slowly quit baggin’ on the jackass as he and his lemmings fade forever into the past.
And I’ll save the empathy for the folk who actually need it.

Cooper did not want to be here but calls Carr the best teammate he has had. The bottom line is none of us are in the locker room or on the field with him 24/7. You can assume what you want, but all it is is assumptions vs what people who are actually around him have said.

For the past 9 years Carr has seemed to me to be a guy who tries to say what he thinks people want to hear. And his actions rarely seem to match his words.

I don't consider myself a hater, although since I wasn't fawning over Derek I probably am so go figure.
Some nice things about Derek at least until proved otherwise he seemed like he wanted to be a Raider at least outwardly wanted the team to succeed. I think his desire for the Raiders to succeed was genuine
He doesn’t seem to me to be a mean individual.
As a non-religious person I'm in no position to question faith so I think that is out of bounds for discuss.
Now can all that change? We're about to find out but football is a business. We will fine if he handles his benching with class like Matt Ryan or goes in a different direction.
All that said I'm glad he is not going to be the Raiders QB going forward. Its clear he isn't the answer.

I gotta be honest, I have no idea how so many of my Raider brothers are celebrating the release of a guy who has thrown for 35,000 yards, 217 touchdown against 99 interceptions, for a coach who has a lifetime record of 17 wins and 26 losses.
I do know that Rich Bisaccia and Derek Carr took this team to the playoffs last year, then we went and got THE BEST receiver in football to play for the Raiders, and that incompetent baffoon McDipshit could only manage 6 wins this year with what should have been a playoff team and I see my Raider family all running around toasting the release of a dedicated, solid, albeit, not spectacular, but solid quarterback for an idiot who cannot even manage to go .500 with a team that went to the playoffs last year.
Well Raider fans, you get what you ask for, so instead of making a run at the playoffs, we will, ONCE AGAIN, tear it all down for the 47th time and start rebuilding YET AGAIN, so McDipshit can pretend it was the players fault, not his completely and utterly dismal play calling that is the reason this team is not winning games.
Yea, and lets once again, let all of the good players on this team be traded away, so we can grovel around at the bottom of the league for another 3 years, until we replace this coach, and we can once again, trade everyone away, and rebuild again in 2026. And on and on and on it will go.

As a rejoiner to my last statement? His cult like followers are far more disturbing to me than anything else.
I'm not kidding. The reactions on Twitter and elsewhere? You would have thought we cut a QB who combined Tom Brady levels of play with the perfection of the greatest saint ever to walk the Earth.
It's downright disturbing.
examples?
1) "Mamba mentality"
2) "I left 110% on the field" (after sucking ass, and dropping the ball in the EZ to break his own fall)
3) "I was too aggressive"
4) "Put it all on me"
5) "I wish everyone loved this place as much as I do"
6) "I love the coach" (after a crap game and saying he's just putting the ball where coach wants him to... aka coach under the bus)
7) "Worked hard and prepared all week" (40 hours on XBox)
Just off the top of my head. Derek Carr is phony as the day is long.
I don’t get all the bitterness, here. Relief yes, okay, but Derek seems to be a great human being, and a great example of a stand up guy. He showed great character last year, throughout all that crap. I wish him prosperity and a great life.
Me too. It's not his fault he was paid or got new contracts, etc.. I wanted to move on and am glad we did but I wish him and his family the best. Even what's his name.

The defense took this team to the playoffs last year. Derek had already checked out. He was CARRIED.
He plays like a puss. He's done things on the field I never thought I'd see a pro QB do, least of all a Raider.
This offense is built to succeed. A QB with legs, pocket presence and accuracy will accomplish big things here. Derek Carr is addition by subtraction. There's no need for a "rebuild".
With his sorry ass out of the building, we're projected to have the 3rd most cap space in the NFL, not to mention a boatload of picks. The sky ain't falling because we dumped that twat.
For the past couple of months closet Carr fans have been writing "I don't like Carr but he will be back next year".
Hopefully today's news will put a stop to those nonsense posts.
For the past few months (years?) closet Carr fans have been writing "Mark Davis loves Derek Carr".

I thought there was a good chance of Carr being back as well as Mark being his biggest supporter therefore him coming back for YEAR 10! I’m in no way, shake, or form a Carr fan. If you think so look at my post history… weak take.
