Ok so we consider this an average oline with average execution?
CK`s love and praise of the Fresno Fraud for over a decade has forced the removal of his "QB takes" card until 2035.SkullCrusher wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 12:04 pm Ok so we consider this an average oline with average execution?
I know this Jim said and we heard on MNF it is his responsibility to put Herbert into the HOF.
What he means is give him top-tier support.
So yes a moat is the target.
Are there people that really are putting this on the QB when we watch the games and watch people that make clips about horrendous oline execution? Come'on. It's also why Jeanty is getting drilled, even though he has some unique stats that show he's fine and it's the line.
I should have said vastly better in comparison to what he has now. He has a flaw in his game where he holds onto the ball too long, as such he has always had high sack numbers. But averaging 4 sacks per game in three games? And that is early on. As our line wears down, this could only get worsepowski wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 11:31 am He had a good pass blocking line in Seattle? Were those high sack totals more on him than the line? He had a lot of them, every year there. Not being a smartass, but I just saw the high sack totals and figured bad pass blocking in Seattle.
Ive never, ever seen anything as bad as this line. Were first year expansion teams even this bad as the Raiders OL overall so far? I made it halfway through the 4th quarter and it felt even worse than the Monday night game.
Smith seems to have a polar opposite problem than Carr. Carr would often panic, sometimes even self sacking under pressure. Geno is determined to damn throw sometimes and could care less. Although this line is probably making him more fearful. It all seems like a fever dream right now.
Not really, poor line play belongs in every thread related to an offensive player.Oaktownonly wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 12:14 pm Parham should be benched plain and simple. At any other level of the game (pop warner, high school, college) a lineman constantly blocking nobody would be benched. Why is this guy still starting? One of our 3rd round picks can't block a guy right in front of him? O-line coaches need to stop the insanity and make some changes.
Edit: Sh*t, I put this in the wrong thread.
Exactly Cousins and Carr are the only two that come to mind but far different results.
Baker Mayfield is about the only one that comes to mindWillmark wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 1:26 pm Exactly Cousins and Carr are the only two that come to mind but far different results.
Washington let Cousins walk and there was a lot of interest. Carr walked and the Saints were bidding against themselves.
At the time the chatter across the web is “teams don’t release franchise QBs!”
Me and a lot of others in Carr’s case: “you’re right, teams don’t release franchise quarterbacks (pause).”
I’m hard pressed to name some/ any others that were release or walked away outright and had high level play or at least very good. I’m sure there might be a fewz. Point being it doesn’t happen often and almost never with franchise ones.
Seattle's O-Line looks night and day different without Geno holding the ball and running into sacks.SkullCrusher wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 12:04 pm Ok so we consider this an average oline with average execution?

Their line looks night and day because the two young tackles had another year of experience, the center is a new starter, and their first round pick this year is playing guard who happened to also play with the center at NDSU so there is some familiarity on the interior. The Real CK wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 1:33 pm Seattle's O-Line looks night and day different without Geno holding the ball and running into sacks.
Geno is part of the problem. Solely blaming the O-Line is an excuse.
Sounds nice but not having a blind squirrel at QB helps more.LayneStaley wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 1:46 pm Their line looks night and day because the two young tackles had another year of experience, the center is a new starter, and their first round pick this year is playing guard(who happened to also play with the center at NDSU so there is some familiarity on the interior).
Zabel(G) and Sundell(C) were actually roommates at NDSU and played 2 seasons together. I’m sure that helps.
You and others thought Carson Strong was NFL worthy.Xramfan wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 12:09 pm CK`s love and praise of the Fresno Fraud for over a decade has forced the removal of his "QB takes" card until 2035.
Excuses?
Turnabout is fair play!CWood24 wrote: Tue Sep 23, 2025 2:07 pm Excuses?
Surely your not talking about QB & excuses, it would be very big contradicting
As long as we have the worst OL i’m the history of the franchise we can’t evaluate anybody on this offence
