I just listened to some of the highlights and Pegula is doing himself a lot of damage here. Just a petty display.

It's moronic. All ramifications are negative. Fan perception, potential coach perception, player perception. Plus you're actually decreasing the potential value of Keon Coleman if you decide to look at trading him.

Interesting that Feliciano says that Webb is getting a 2nd interview with the Raiders, since that hasn't been discussed anywhere else yet.

I saw a post saying Davis Webb would likely bring Kliff Kingsbury on as OC if he gets a HC job. He played under Kliff at Tech and they're close. Im a big fan of Kliff's offense. He actually schemes up a great running game. His offense is all gun, which is one thing I don't like

Kubiak as HC and calling the plays or Davis Webb as HC with Kliff as OC either scenario would be incredible

It's interesting to read some of the contrasting opinions of Webb.

He gets looked at seriously by other teams, including Bills and Ravens, and it's perceived as an innovative potential hire of a young mind.

The Raiders look at Webb, and the perception by randos on a message board (read:us) becomes, "He can't possibly succeed, he hasn't had the required background that I have decided applies."

I have not read anywhere that says he cannot possibly succeed. I have read where he is largely unknown and that he has only been coaching a short time.

A small handful have stated that opinion. Im sure just as many on the Bills/Ravens boards. Do you think people will have 100 % agreement on anything?

To be fair, it's not some arbitrary resume we decide he needs. I tried looking it up before, but no NFL coach has ever succeeded without being a Head Coach or Coordinator somewhere else and showing success (subjective) at that level.

The only exception I could find in history is John Harbough. I could be wrong, there could be more. But I highly doubt is any more than a few in history. A player coming out of a short career and coaching a position for a few years and goes on to be a success story as a HC in the NFL.....I just don't think exists. So it's fairly logical to assume this won't work.

Also to be fair, I don't think anyone else disagrees with the idea that he is an innovative potential young hire. It's just hard to imagine him having success, it could happen, but he would have to be a 1 in a million shot for sure. Doing something no one else did. But I suppose lets see if anyone actually hires him first, because if he isn't, then teams like Balt and the Ravens probably agree with all us internet randos that say he doesn't have the required background, yet.

I don’t like a primarily gun offense. That makes me lean Kubiak. I know Mendoza is used to gun but the most efficient offenses generally run from under center with gun mixed in.

La Confora used to be on nfl network and then went to cbs I think. He was an insider not sure how valid his info is but I’m sure he still knows some people

He works primarily from the gun. A bit of RPO is dropped in for Indiana but he can work under center as well. But college programs like the gun offense in spread formations. I think it is just a matter of teaching him to work under center more.
