He made a bone-head decision on a last-ditch attempt to win a game. He was a damn good receiver in NE before coming here. If Jakobi is the floor for Nailor, then we did well to get him. Besides Bowers is our #1 receiver. Do we really need a "legit #1" or would it just be nice to have a bunch of solid receivers able to take some of pressure off Bowers?RN4L75 wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 8:00 pm I am in a "trust the process" mode. Nailor will be as good as Jakobi at least. Before we got Jakobi he was the guy throwing our defense a touchdown pass if you recall, definitely not what he turned into.

Jakobi was the top target in NE. The situation isn't compatible to Nailors in Minnesota. That Pats receiving core was dog shit minus Jakobi. That's worth noting.rich_120 wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 9:35 pm He made a bone-head decision on a last-ditch attempt to win a game. He was a damn good receiver in NE before coming here. But, Brock is a stud. He's basically a receiver. Calling him a TE just doesn't do it justice. Mayer is essentially the TE and Brock is a big bodied receiver IMO. Be nice if Thornton takes a few steps forward. I have a lot of confidence in Bech, Nailor and Tucker. The offense will have a heavy dose of ground and pound

Not sure what we got in Nailor. I watched what tape I could find on him and not a ton really stands out.

I don't know anything about him other than what I've read. It sounds like he has very good hands and rarely drops a ball. That's a plus already.

I don't think Nailor can be compared to Meyers yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that comparison being valid after 2026. He needs an opportunity IMO - I like the way he runs routes.
The fact he had more TDs than Jefferson and Addison really speaks to the bad QB play in Minnesota. Tre Tucker had as many TDs as Jefferson and Addison combined.

We got a ton of question marks in regards to our WR's. Hopefully, someone takes a step forward.

I feel if we can get the run game top 8-10 that #1 WR won't mean as much.RI RAIDER wrote: Sat Mar 21, 2026 9:30 am We got a ton of question marks in regards to our WR's. Hopefully, someone takes a step forward.

A WR in the 2nd round is very much in play so don't be surprised if it happens. Me personally, I would only want Cooper there at 36, IF he's even there. Or else take Decker in 2027.

For this season that is whats best. Drafting a #1 WR would come at the expense of bypassing more important needs. Besides, for a while, the game will be too fast for Mendoza to be effectively utilizing him. Use the picks on OT and DT. Get a WR in 2027.rich_120 wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 9:35 pm He made a bone-head decision on a last-ditch attempt to win a game. He was a damn good receiver in NE before coming here. 750 yards and he doesn't run the ball anymore. Was always more of a gadget play guy never a great receiver. He hit 900 yards oncemstrbass2000 wrote: Sat Mar 21, 2026 8:22 am didn't look fat, slow or unathletic last yr ...what he wants as pay and what he gets r 2 different things

I hear what you are saying. However, to get the run game into the top 8-10, we will need more than an improved line and BB. A #1 WR (not a must for this season) protects our big 3 and will obviously have a positive impact on the running game. Get a guy who commands attention and puts a defense on their heels (pick your poison). Force that D into some man to man coverages and get guys out of the box. Jeanty will FEAST once he get beyond that LOS and first contact.KillerRaider30 wrote: Sat Mar 21, 2026 9:36 am I feel if we can get the run game top 8-10 that #1 WR won't mean as much.

4 round draft on NFL.com has The Raiders taking Mississippi WR De'Zhaun Stribling in the 2nd round. He put up good numbers, but I'm not sure he's a top 2nd round pick.
