Hearing that the actual Maxx Crosby trade talk died down quickly at the combine and that unless Maxx actually requests a trade he will be a Raider. And further, hearing that as of yet, Maxx has not made such a request. That is not to say teams are not making any offers or that the Raiders are not listening, but the vibe is that much of the trade talk is fan driven.

The Raiders and/or Crosby could easily make the trade talk go away by saying categorically he will remain a Raider for 2026...but neither is prepared to commit to much of anything, one way or the other.
That tells me that all possible scenarios are still on the table.

The Raiders literally did. Kubiak said he wants Maxx on the team and Spytek literally said Maxx is a Raider. Maxx on the other hand has said repeatedly that he wants to be a Raider for life. He also said he is done talking about all things Raider related because he has talked about it enough. And a reference to a mentor of his who advised him to let it go.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 9:51 am The Raiders and/or Crosby could easily make the trade talk go away by saying categorically he will remain a Raider for 2026...but neither is prepared to commit to much of anything, one way or the other.

That said, I also think Maxx is ducking the conversation because it is not up to him.

He constantly undermines the management of the team and has become a distraction. Hes a great player but he tries too hard to be liked by the guys in the locker room and he doesnt make the others around him better. I say good riddance. Look at all the problem players we have had on the defense the last few years that have spiraled out of control, as a leader these players attitudes should have been nipped in the bud, but they were allowed to fester like infected wounds. I dont like Maxx at all, he hits like a pussy also.tadow wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 1:18 am His work ethic, passion, loyalty, and leadership imo is worth everything. What he brings to our team is not measured in dollars. To be a "Raider" in my humble opinion, he has proved undoubtedly. Unless we get a franchise changing return like an OKC Thunder trajectory path where we are smarter than everyone and sell high and buy low and hit on everything I see no benefit in trading him.

How is he constantly undermining management. He lobbied for Pierce and he posted a video. That is what he has done in 7 years that could be interpreted as "undermining" the team, and I think the word undermining may be a bit off. And how is he responsible for the conduct of other players? Leaders on a team are not responsible for the conduct of other players. The players are responsible for their own conduct.rich72 wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 10:01 am He constantly undermines the management of the team and has become a distraction. Maxx can stay or go and I'll be fine with it. If good trade compensation is gained and the picks/cap savings are used even decently. The Raiders haven't won anything with him. That said he's still a great player. There's a world where the Raiders are a better team with him and without him. There's a world where the Raiders are a worse team with or without him. His age isn't a huge concern but with his snaps, you can argue the iron is hot to get some value from a trade. The team is in a rebuild. The team could also ace FA/the draft and perform well ahead of schedule. & Maxx could be a big part of a turnaround. It's all fluid

Literally ?...not that I saw, figuratively maybe. In fact, it seemed to me that management has worded every comment about the situation as very "noncommittal" either way. If he truly wanted to be transparent he'd say, "We're not trading Maxx, period...please stop calling me about acquiring him."Attyla wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 9:57 am The Raiders literally did. Spytek saying that he "wants" Maxx on the team really means nothing because it's only posturing. Neither does saying that "Maxx is still a Raider" because that is only said in present tense so it does not mean he'll be playing for the Raiders this year....he also wants to do what he thinks best for the team and if he gets an offer for Maxx that he believes better serves the franchise long term, he'll pull the trigger.

I feel those that want him gone over blah blah if anyone is a drama queen it's that type.Swagron wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 10:45 am You must be a family member of this clown. Some of your guys are soft as shit with this drama queen. Cant wait till hes gone.
He wanted to keep coach, that's undermining? That seems like support?
It's like blaming Maxx for a shit organization with constant turnover, we can bitch and moan about it, 20 years of complete futility. But people closer to the situation can't have a word about it and how it affects their career? And what he said was light weight still.
Actually those that feel that way about Mazz are like taking Al Davis's side on the Marcus Allen sitch from yesteryear. Al felt he got to big for the team and no one can be that. Jelly much? And Marcus didn't ascend like that, he was my fave at the time, but great players are gonna great and get extra attention, but did he eclipse the Raiders, I didn't see that at all. Now granted I was a HUGE Al Davis fan then so I got right inline, but it still sucked.
So who's the drama queen?
The person wanting him gone because of imo softball words, media whore?
Or one that wants a least equal value or better because youth movement?
Or the person that doesn't want him gone?
