Teams don’t trade good QB’s for mid round picks.

They trade good QBs. They don't trade franchise QBs (well unless maybe they have off-the-field issues, cough, cough, Watson). I wouldn't call Geno a franchise QB, but I think he's good--good enough to have winning seasons with Seattle. And I like that he chose to be a Raider. It takes time to build a team and three games isn't much time. I think 8 to 9 wins this year is a good step in the right direction. One win in the books. Eight more to go.

He chose to be a Raider because he didn't have many, if any, options. :loltears:

Sam Darnold is basically being asked to be a game manager. He has 74 passing attempts(26th in the league) over 3 games, 4 TDs, 2 INTs, and a fumble. Seattle has an elite Defense and above average run game and 2 pro bowl WRs. We are comparing apples to oranges.

Geno has the 8th most attempts in the league(108) 4 TDs and 4 INTs with the worst Oline and no run game.

I don’t see how you can honestly evaluate Geno or Jeanty or Bowers or any WR until we have at least an average line.

There's plenty of tape on Geno to evaluate. This is EXACTLY what kind of a QB he is. Bad, average, elite line or not. He adds to the problems and will not win you games. Seattle knew that and that's why they let him walk.

As someone who didn't want Geno, and preferred Darnold, let's be honest about this. Geno was good in week 1, but let's not get too crazy on stats, two of those TD's were garbage time mode after Raiders were down 34-10. Many did the same thing with Derek Carr to boost his status when the eye test told us a different story, and my eyes tell me Geno is playing bad football.

Darnold isn't a world beater, but I don't think he's a downgrade, and he's a younger player, was cheaper and didn't cost a 3rd round pick. He was acquired for the same reason Josh McDaniels signed Jimmy G, nepotism, they take the guy they're familiar with, not the best guy for the job.

I won't even put it all on Geno, I think Chip is doing a terrible job, and I think it's likely Darnold would also be sucking ass here, but like I said, at least he'd be a younger, cheaper player sucking ass.

I beg your pardon good sir, they did not exactly "let him walk." They fleeced us. (We wasted a draft pick on him.)

Edit: not disagreeing with you, the Weehawks knew and they fleeced us.

I put it on Spywreck, his off season was well below average.

Yep. We deserved to get fleeced.

Some good points but I’d argue the entire Saints game was garbage time for the Hawks yesterday. They are horrible.

I was quoting someone who said Geno’s TDs don’t really count cause it was garbage time in reference to both Darnold and Geno having 4 tds. I said I’d argue the entire Saints game was garbage time because they are the worst team in the league. Did I clear it up?

It’s a long season and freaking out saying we are ass or claiming we are going to the SB after week 3 are both foolish. Fix the line and Geno and Jeanty won’t look like Busts.

I think we need to get a decent O line and get rid of Kelly before this forum can start blaming Geno.

They already have. We’d be rivaling the Andrew Walter offenses with AOC and this line.
