The last 4-5 pages have been highly entertaining. I’ll leave it at that.
When Bridgewater signed with the Panthers it was for more than $20 million a year.
Bridgewater is now on a one year contract paying him $11 to $12 million.
Lots of heart and guts not the most talented player by any stretch
Heart and guts???Damn we are on polar opposite sides of the spectrum concerning Carr....IMO if his heart and mentality matched his athletic talent I think he'd be far more successful and many that want him gone would have a different opinion...Just my thoughts though.

unless you have a quarterback like brady who keep taking discounts and getting players to join him
or your quarterback on the rookie contract - 5 years
if you don't have either of those, you aren't going to the super bowl

Brady skews the list because he seems to be one of the QBs seemingly every damn year but Mahomes went to the game on a new contract, Jimmy G, Ryan, the Mannings.

if you don't have either of those, you aren't going to the super bowl
Sorry, but those explanations just don't match with the statement you made. Either a QB taking discounts and getting players to join him or a rookie deal....... And it's just not true.
Don't mistake this for me wanting to extend Carr, because I don't want to do it. IMO an extension for Carr is $40 million a year - similar to what Dak got, a year later, with a higher cap and remember Dak got that deal coming off a major injury.
Let Carr play out his deal and then potentially take it to a franchise tag year too. Franchise tags for QBs are relatively affordable, if the QB is good.
There's the rub - the QB has to be good. It's much more about how well he plays than how much you pay him.

your best bet making the super bowl is drafting a rookie quarterback and load up the defense
2012 ravens
2012 49ers
2013 seahawks
2014 seahawks
2017 eagles
2018 rams
2019 chiefs
2020 chiefs
we may see the ravens, patriots, bills making the super bowl this year
jackson is on the rookie contract
jones is on the rookie contract
allen got a big contract, but only making 10.2M this year

even mahomes being paid dirt cheap compare to others, his contract won't kick in until next season

2021 - 10.2M
2022 - 16.3M
2023 - 39.7M huge jump

Moving forward, I hope the organization hires a good HC and then they trade Carr and use the draft capital gained to draft his replacement and use the cap space to fortify the rest of the team.
If done right, the Raiders could right the ship and finally end these decades of mediocrity at best.
To not make the changes, is akin to suggesting that there is nothing wrong and that the organization is not mired in the muck of mediocrity and to get more of the same for years to come. In short, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat....
