We were only in the Win now mode for Carr without him we won’t be.
Some people on here think we can draft Bryce Young or some other scrub rookie QB and somehow that will fix McDumbass' playcalling and the terrible defense.

You know what would be a fascinating experiment. Shanarat jr can take any QB and make them look like an all pro.
It would be interesting to see what he could make out of DC.
They know we are stuck with a shitty coach but everything is Carr’s fault this season for them.

Here is an interesting fact, Derek Carr has a injury clause in his contract, if Derek Carr were to get injured in the rest of the season, the Raiders would HAVE to pay $30 million next season and another $8 the following season. It is the perfect time to bench Derek Carr and start Matt Stinchcomb if the Raiders want to move on with Derek Carr. You can't trade that contract.
I’m sorry - a stop gap while we draft who?
That sounds like a rebuild.
We’re not doing that. We are in win now mode, so if we can’t win with Carr, you find a QB that you can with
Not a guy to waste years with on a QB that no one has identified yet.
Your stop gap is Carr. Who’s 10 million dollars per year less than all the QBs that would be an upgrade.
The real answer is we can spend 20M a year less and get Carrs production
Why sign adams, extend Waller, extend Crosby, extend Carr if it’s not win now?
Crosby is young, will be here in a couple years, is huge difference maker.
You sign young and prime elite edges when you find them and have to because contrary to the nonsense that went around with Gruden such talent doesn't grow on trees.
The rest was flat out delusional thinking.
Trading a first and second for a thirty year old wideout, re-upping Carr, and paying a slot about as much as is imaginable was all insane.
By the time Waller was re-signed we were deep into the in for a penny, in for a pound status.
The idiots were already head deep into the dumbass run it back stage so they paid him too plus his skillset and physical ability is nearly impossible to replace when he is healthy.
Carr, Renfrow, and acquiring Adams was all the stuff of a mental inquest with Waller being almost as loopy in a vacuum but more reasonable in the context of once you already went crazy, you may as well get your hair wet since you are already in up to your eyes deep anyway.

Let’s start setting the bar low for McBum
are you saying that Carr has a shelf life of less than 2 years? I think you do not understand the average age of QBs who are in that window of win now.
And of course your minion understands that even less, but then again he thinks that McDaniels ruined the Broncos for years
Both of you need to revisit your views

Already mr. irrelevant this year in the draft is proving to be a competent qb for them. Then there’s fetal boy.
Well he specifically said he has final say in his introductory presser with McDaniels and Mark sitting right beside him. We’ve never had a person/GM other than Al say that since well……….never. I’ll take him at his word until there’s actual reason to think otherwise.
I didn't see the press conference. Thanks for the heads up.
Keep/Dump Carr, well I'm sort of wishy-washy on that issue because i don't want to return to the misery of the 2-14 days but then again we aren't that far off from them anyway. What really worries me is that McDaniels hasn't ever shown any ability to make sound choices when it comes to the draft so I do know if he's the guy to be selecting a replacement for Carr.
That's a reasonable concern. I'm much less wishy-washy on replacing Carr, but I can't really say that I have any faith in this organization to make good decisions about replacing him, either. Twenty years of failures will do that.
