I don't see the Ravens, Bills, or Steelers wanting him as HC, and I would prob take an OC gig before the Raiders HC.
To answer your Why Not?
Money
Power
Buck Stops Here
Money

Sure he might be at a place he doesn't need all that above, then yeah OC could be on the docket.

I don't want Minter simply for the fact that he looks too much like Carr lol. Seriously though, would be an uninspiring hire IMO.

I saw a list today that still had the Raiders rated as the least desireable coaching job remaining. It doesn't appear that candidates feel that way.

Thing that worries me about Minter is the quality of staff he would hire… the OC and DC are almost as important as the head coach especially with a first over pick rookie qb coming in.

Mendoza is actually ideal for Mcdaniel as he needs a smart QB. I'd actually love McDaniel as an OC. As a head coach I'm not sure. But he'd be way better than someone like Nagy

I'd still prefer to hire a young offensive coach, but outside of that McDermott is next on the list.

Kubiak, LaFleur, Webb (wildcard but I like the idea)
McDermott

I'd take him as OC. No way for HC.

It feels like the momentum for all the remaining teams with HC vacancies has come to a crawl. Maybe all the teams are waiting until next week to have second interviews with coaches still in the playoffs.

Buffalo Bills
Baltimore Ravens
Las Vegas Raiders

Cleveland Browns
Pittsburgh Steelers (?)
Arizona Cardinals (?)
Just my opinion, but Lamar (Balt) has convinced me that he will always get the lemon-booty in the playoffs. So for me…

Bills
Raiders (Mendoza Effect)
Ravens
Steelers (Stability)
Browns & Cardinals (Bad franchises)

Granted, A LOT has to do with Mendoza and Doofus legitimately looking like he’s going to allow Spytek to do his job.

It has.

And must likely is. Its down to what ? Four openings and the four teams are likely honing in on two guys: Webb and Kubiak (as a guess). After they decide what they do the last two teams get to decide which way to go.
