They can 'love' him all they want but do you think that maybe some constant playoff appearances year in year out with possibly somoene else would quash that 'love' that they currently with their mid table mediocracy master?
Your career can be short in this game and great players like the 3 named above surely don't want to be stuck in NFL purgatory for the remainder of their careers with the Raiders imo.
I'm with you on this.
I'm sure the Raiders of yore loved Dan Pastorini but wanted Plunkett to play. Now start going through the list of other "lovable" QB's on any team in the NFL. Carr is not the only lovable QB. The guy they draft this year will probably be a good guy himself but can actually, you know, quarterback.

Now whether they'd pick Carr to be the qb of choice is a very different story

I had a discussion with a Carr fan over Adams leaving if Carr goes they will not take in that Adams biggest reason for coming here, it wasn’t Carr or playing for the Raiders it was bringing his family closer to home
What i discovered is how abhorrent that some Carr fans actually are they think Adams actually loves him more than his kids or family

Welp, this is the most Carr Clan move ever. The enforcer Darren is beefing with Damian Lillard for not kissing the ring.

Here me out....
I know Z Wilson looks like crap, but Glazer said the Jets are moving on from him after the season.
We have had reclamation projects before and the kid is young and has the tools.
Not as our starter obviously, but what about bringing him into camp as a challenger to Stidham and see what he’s got.
To be fair that Jets offense sucks

To be fair that Jets offense sucks
you have to have special coaches to fix a broken player. Flores was a former QB so he was able to reach inside the broken Plunkett and find his greatness. And Plunkett was so broken it took time before he could even get to the field. Madden, a guy who could control a room, was able to fix Matuszak and even then Tooz gave him all he could handle. I am not sure we have that kind of coach now.

I’m not saying Wilson is a Plunkett, but I’d bring him into camp and see what he has. He’s in an awful situation. Let him ride the pine with no pressure and maybe McD could fix him.

I know they are rare, but we have to try and find one.
We aren’t the only one...
I’m sure there’s more,but to just to name a few-Jets,Texans,Falcons,Steelers,Broncos,Titans,Colts,Pats, Panthers,etc
Carr is better than a lot of those teams QBs,but I want to be elite.Shoot your dang shot!

I am not opposed to bringing in a guy to sit for a year to see what you got but I am not sure McD is a fix a guy kind of coach. But no harm on a cheap deal.

If the masses don't like you, or worse, despise the sight of you it's a major issue. Some guys will run through walls for other players (Plunkett). Others, it's tough to motivate them (Pastorini).
