If we are being honest, we will not be a real contender for a couple of years (I hope I am wrong). We would be crazy if we did not trade him "IF" the right deal came along. Nobody knows what is taking place behind the scenes (a good thing) or whether or not this is real. However, getting the rumored couple of picks, a good veteran, and having the extra cap space to sign a couple of very good veterans outweighs having Max. Max is getting to the age of diminishing returns and this trade will only look better as time moves on. This is a roster rebuild/reconstruction and Max is a luxury for us at this point in time. That being said, a trade like this makes sense for teams that are close to a championship and are going all in the next couple of years.

I'm fine with keeping him, but do think we would be better off moving on. I really like the idea of getting another 1st this year, and even trading back up into the 1st with our 2nd. We have plenty of picks to do so, and 3 first round selections sounds enticing. We could really spread out the cap relief from this draft so that we can aggressively try to win now with Mendoza on a rookie deal. Why not both Linderbaum and David Edwards? Get a #1 WR with one of the extra draft picks. Ensure that Mendoza has zero excuses for failure.

If he's traded I guarantee he puts out a rap album within 1 year.

Rams GM Les Snead said he’s open to trading a first-rounder for a “proven player” and adding an All-Pro to the secondary is a “big focus.”

The Rams, as Athletic beat Nate Atkins notes, sound like a team “ready to be aggressive to maximize Matthew Stafford’s window.” Snead does have an extra first-round pick in his pocket due to last year’s James Pearce trade with the Falcons. While it’s been bandied about often that they could use the pick to select Stafford’s successor at quarterback, they could also simply trade it for someone to help them soar above the Seahawks right now. Stay tuned.

Licorice is a bastards candy. If I have strawberry licorice in my face I'd rather just go eat a bunch of real strawberries. Black licorice is of Satan
the m and m classic trail mix offers a nice mix.....

I agree with the rationale strictly from the Raiders position. I honestly couldn't care less which team he's traded to if its him requesting the trade. Trade him to one of the better ones or one of the worst if the offer is right. Dont care about Maxx career goals outside of the Raiders, especially if it means accommodating them when considering what offer to accept.

It all depends on the team, if we trade him to someone like the Patriots then those picks arent super valuable. I would try to get the Cowboys to bite for a 1st and 2nd.

I am tuned in with some Bengal fans who are in Cinci and the vibe is that Cinci is interested in Maxx. They gauged that interest as in two picks no players.

Do you know which "2 picks"?

Not sure how connected these guys are. They tend to get stuff right though. They said a day one and a day two

Their owner is a tight with money. That would be surprising.

So I guess #10 and #42 ?...if so, maybe it's not what we were hoping for but not bad either...we'd then then be drafting 1, 10, 33, and 42. We'd be getting FM, and then a stud at nearly any position we want and then 2 more picks in the top 41.

Not to be homerish, but that, coupled with some smart FA signings could really transform the Raiders in a hurry.

Getting tired of finishing 4th in the AFC West.

10 and 42 would be an absolute haul and i doubt we get that much. Keep in mind value wise #10 is equal to two late first round picks

Id guess theyd offer #42 and next years first which id probably pass on

Not to be a broken record but....I'd fly Maxx out myself for 10 and 42. The Bengals would be that stupid too.
