just an observation, the meme is incorrect. The scene is post spider bite so Peter sees clear without his glasses and it blurs when he puts them on. Just saying.
he could have refused to go to the table and force the team to way overpay on the tag. He had more options than that. He signed a deal that pays him stupid money if he keeps his job. That is betting on yourself. He certainly knew he and Mark were the relationship that mattered, hence his assurance before they hired McD that he was the future.
He could have what? He was under contract for this season and everyone knew Pastor Carr would never hold out. Actually, playing on the remaining year like Jacobs is doing is the definition of betting on one's self.
Wow, you are really coming around. You have graduated from level 1 to level 2. It’s as if you have had an epiphany ;)
I still firmly believe that having next to the worst defense every year for 9 years along with 50 coaching changes and a massive turnover of players equals 3 or 4 win teams.
Carrs judgment is directly tied to the Raiders record because if everything was in order the team over 9 years would have 40 more wins and carrs win loss record would be reversed.
Thus this thread wouldn't exist because you don't complain about winning teams.
I'd bet any QB thrown into the shit organization with the shit coaching and the shit drafts and the shit free agent signing would fail and people wouldbe bitching about that QB.
All of that is true.
It's also true that Carr shits his pants as soon as the team gets into the red zone.
He shits himself when there's a defensive player within a yard.
He shits himself when someone walks behind him and startles him.
Or when he has to beemrsak his fall and im sick of it.
What im really sick of is his press conferences after a lose.
He talks a great talk saying all we have to do. Then do it.
He talks as if he's accomplished something.
Last week he said, when you go through losing stretches...winners don't go through losing streaks. f[raiders_icon]ck.
I'm done and rather lose with anyone else.
And don't think we'd be wasting Adams career or Crosby's career. We're not because with diapers full its the same lost cause.
Carr had a chance to put a wounded animal out of his misery last week and didn't have what it took to pull the trigger.
95% of the QBs in the league would've found a way to beat the hapless Rams
But not out guy. Nope no way

“Tom Brady’s about to be a free agent,” McAfee said on the “Pat McAfee Show.” “Tom Brady’s going to Las Vegas next year – is that what everybody’s just assuming? The dead cap for Derek Carr if he gets cut by the Las Vegas Raiders is $5 million.”

But not out guy. Nope no way
You contradicted your self. In the first part of your post you are saying because of (insert franchise dysfunction excuse here) Carrs record is what it is and would be reversed if he had stability.
The second part of your post states all his failings that have zero to do with coaching, defense, weapons, etc.
Carr is his own worst enemy and shits his own pants. Hes a turd through and through. At tops he is a mediocre QB but is getting paid like a top 1/3rd QB.
I dont want him in a Raider uniform simply because, in his own words, football is low on his priorities.

This is from a few weeks back but is an example of one of the differences between Cousins and Carr. They have, arguably, a somewhat similar physical skill set, but Cousins has a mental toughness that Carr seems to lack.

Actually, playing on the remaining year like Jacobs is doing is the definition of betting on one's self.
Negotiations take several turns. He most certainly could have used the threat of holdout to move negotiations. He could have told them he intends to retire. You seem to think his religious views makes him bound by a contract his owner is not bound to honor. He bet on himself, pure and simple. He took a deal with a lot of money that will pay him top five money if he can keep his job. He bet he could and get more money. It has its risks but it also has prestige if he can keep his job.
Big Bro spittin' facts and looking after diapers and also getting snotty with a poster. 'JESUS FIRST' his bio says but how come they can never turn the other cheek
The Carr family must own shares in the Greyhound Lines company, only reason to explain the high volume of people who get thrown under one.

What would it be like to have a qb like Josh Allen?
217 yards and 3tds in the First half.
A boy can dream.

Paperbags let’s go

Allen, Burrow, Mahomes
Then Hurts.
No need to list/rank/discuss any other QBs after those 4.
