Carr said Wednesday when asked if he’s thinking of his future with the Raiders. “I’ve always tried my best to — as I’ve gotten older in my career — just eliminate all of those things. … Whenever you have a bad stretch of games or a losing stretch of games or anything like that, that stuff’s going to happen. And so, for me, I don’t. I should’ve been traded for eight years now, you know? It is what it is. We have passionate fans; they’re passionate people that they just want to see us win. And so, when we don’t, obviously they get mad. And they think, ‘Oh, then we got to fix something,’ and stuff like that.
“And you can understand that as fans, but this is the most complex game in the world. So, sometimes you just got to understand our opinions really don’t matter. There’s facts that you’re trying to learn from Coach and we’re trying to do the systems right and you just try your best as an athlete just to keep your eye on what you’re supposed to do and what you can control. That’s how I’ve always been. So, as I’ve gotten older, it’s been, I would say definitely easier because once you’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a million times. I was supposed to be gone, like I said, eight years ago, and I’m still here.”
The bolded goes nicely with his other quote:
"We’re correcting everything. I take it all in, ‘Yes, sir, whatever you want.’ But at the same time, I’m going to continue to play the game how I think it’s best for our team.”

I don't think it does much good to try and decipher future events from what any player says. They have their interests, the team's interests, and even the league's interests to look out for. IOW, they have to be careful about what they say or it could land them in trouble.
Stupid players publicly criticize the organization they work for. It doesn't matter if they're right or wrong, you keep that shit in house. Same with Carr. He probably has a lot he'd like to say but understands he's better off in the long and short run if he just keeps that to himself and behind closed doors.
Will he be here next year or not? We don't know yet. Here's what I do know though: I played hookey from work yesterday to play golf and shot a 92, which is my best since taking the game back up. If Carr is here next year under that $35 million contract, I should be shooting in the mid 80s this time next year because I sure as hell won't be watching this team.

Most complex game in the world. Give me a f[raiders_icon]cking break. f[raiders_icon]cking Purdy came in off the practice squad and he’s executing. It’s football, not quantum physics. You’ve been throwing the same route tree since you were in middle school, it’s all nuances at this point.
OK, simplified, "Full fetal Carr sux ballz, trade him now" (2016)
Is that better?
In 2022, I think it would now be correct to say Carr sux AND bawls.

The Carr club wants Carr to stay at 45M a year and build a top 10 defense? Fine, trade Adams, Waller, Renfrow and let Jacob’s walk. Use all that cap to sign the best FA defenders and draft 100% defense. Then when Carr can’t get it done with a top defense they can go back to Carr not having weapons …

He's been over/under throwing the same route tree since middle school!
Maybe Purdy could give him some pointers?
Purdy does have a nice defense though. He can take risks throwing that ball knowing his defense will have his back.
If the 9ers have a lead they ain’t losing it. Carr would love to be back in The Bay.
Why ever would the 9ers want Carr when they have 3 QBs who are much cheaper and as effective if not more effective?
I agree. As far as teams trading for Carr i just don’t see many options. That’s a big contract when QB needy teams could just draft one this year.
Houston will probably take Young.
Carolina probably Stroud or another rook.
San Fran already has Purdy and Lance.
Jets? I don’t know.Maybe.See how Wilson does Sunday, but they seem to like White.
The main issue is that teams that may go ver QB would probably prefer a cheaper Garoppolo.
Unfortunately,I think we just cut him and get nothing.
Why ever would the 9ers want Carr when they have 3 QBs who are much cheaper and as effective if not more effective?
You’ll notice I said “Carr would love to be back in The Bay”. Meaning Carr would like to be there and NOT the Niners want him.
The Niners have ended up in a mess with their QB situation. No draft picks and an undeveloped QB. At least they tried to get a QB to get them over the hump. They can’t depend on Jimmy as that’s how they lost the SB.
