3-0 party in NO post game thread

Unread post by RaiderandBulldog »

The Raiders are a real football team this year! What else needs to be said. From coaching to how they are playing they are a legit team. For the first time since 2021 we are 3-0 and we made the playoffs this year.

1 White and Masses deserve active roster spots. White has been catching touchdown. and masses has been getting picks.

2 The defense was a lot like the 2016 defense today. The Saints scored a lot on them BUT they made up for it by getting numerous turnovers. If you can’t make em punt. That is a viable alternative.

3 Dean has completely changed this defense. Best FA signing in years.

4 Klint showed what he is made off as a coach when his team was down 11. So far he is the best HC we have heard since Gruden 1.0 and coaching makes a huge difference

5 We missed Bowers, he opens so much for the offense.I expect things to get easier for the running game with him back.

6 Let’s not fight over Jeanty and Washington. If they are one two punch that only helps the Raiders. Klint’s offense is based on the run so if they are both productive that is only good.

The odd thig about that one was, the ball went backwards, so being a backwards pass it should have been a live ball. The refs ruled that because he was intending to throw it forward, it doesn't matter that it went backwards. That could lead to some very interesting calls when it might not be so clear what the intent was.
you're right, you're right. I just watched it again and Goff's was an incomplete pass. I didn't even know they took intent into consideration. that feels like a real gray area.

It was a f[raiders_icon]ck up by the refs in the Detroit game and invited a boatload of unnecessary confusion. Now once again, no one can be sure of what does or doesn’t constitute a QB being in the process of a pass. Just like we once were being told when something was or wasn’t a catch regardless of what our eyes saw.

this essentially opens the door for the officials to call it at their discretion, which I am sure Vegas bookmakers love.

crazy the 0-3 Texans have better odds than us... I'd like someone to explain that to me.

I will toot my own horn on this: I said by the middle of the first game that we finally had a real LB who makes big plays in Dean. He has made plays since the first play of the season.

I missed on Chinn -- I said he would be a weak link and instead, he has been pretty darn good.

Palo Mao: OMG, he stinks. I think he played only because of injury.

Wow, Bowers is something else -- a combo of Todd Christensen, Dave Casper, and Raymond Chester. Just a great looking football player.

I saw Burford whiff on a block for the first time and I have been watching him. He is the most pleasant surprise of the FA signings in my book.

Glaze has been holding his own and then some.

Hey -- Koonce, as others have pointed out, may really be regaining his mojo.

Now the schedule gets tough although NE, Seattle (what happened to them today?), and the Jets are beatable.

Brennon Carrol should be in jail right know for what he did to the offensive line.

So are the Chiefs, Bills, and Rams. They are all at home and we will steal at least one of these games if not 2 as long as Brock stays healthy.

I don't fear the Rams, even before they lost to the Broncos. They only beat the Giants, a team that could have a top 10 pick next draft. Rams and at least one Broncos game, I expect to be victories. Patriots are beatable too. The Chiefs, Bills, Seahawks and teams of that ilk are the only games where I just want to see a competitive game.

I get where you’re going but I’m expecting to see victories in all of them. I’m not conceding any losses at this point just because a team is suppose to beat us. Chiefs played down to Miami today until the last 5 minutes, Bills gave up 5 turnovers and only won because Herbert is having a terrible year and not in synch with new OC, and Seattle lost to a 2nd string QB today. All bets are off at this point.

Laube has been a solid player on special team…I know the fumble was a killer but I don’t think he actually fumble that much….
