Fire Pete Carroll
I didn't see a thread yet, I wanted Pete to be able to stay a few years to rebuild us back, but it is clear to me that he is clueless on how to fix what is broken. We have made the same mistakes every week, with no corrections. He has to go! Thoughts?

The fact that this morning Brendan Carroll has a job is all the proof I need.

Mark has nobody to blame but himself. If he doesn't like paying coaches not to coach the Raiders, then it's on him to stop hiring the wrong people. He badly needs to get the next hire right.

Getting the next hire right means hiring a vp of football ops and getting out of the f**king wayheavyD wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:12 am Mark has nobody to blame but himself. I thought the Gruden contract was voided. & the AP contract was two years. Which would be his first year & this year, right?
So that would put McD (POS), PC &, Chip as still being paid next year.
I can’t find definitive info on Gruden & AP’s contract. If anyone has concrete info, please share. Gruden had some kind of settlement & AP’s contract seems to *NOT have been made public. Which is weird AF.
& yes, this is all Davis’ fault. He’s kept making the damn coaching hires. Let Spytek/GMs do their farking jobs!! Stop hiring old, boring, conservative, turds who have let the game pass them by.

Think of the wealth of "for a good time" leads though. America's youth is missing out.

Having thought I had a good evaluation of this organization, I could never have been more wrong about a HC hire than Iwas with gramps. It was easy to see with the pats west hires....this one not so much.
I know everyone here thinks Brady is boy genius because of what he has accomplished on the field.
Some however feel that translates to his expertise off the field.
Some claim he is a great business owner. Why?
Great business owners build a business. Brady has never built a business. Only because of his wealth he has the means to invest in what others have built.
Nobody wanted to sell ownership of a football organization except the Raider stooge. A brilliant investment by Brady as the evaluation keeps multiplying year after year.
Does that make him an astute owner? Has he ever ran a NFL franchise .....or only played for one?
Brady is a fraud....bought into by the worst owner in the NFL....who because he is clueless, buys into anyone looking to take advantage of him.
If son of spawn really cared about the Raiders he would sell majority ownership like he had the chance to do before the move to Vegas...which would have put the Raiders in LA....so son off spawn could concentrate on watching the Aces.

40M in guarantees remained when he resigned. So supposedly him and Mark agreed on how much to pay. So the entire 10 year 100M was never fully guaranteed.MexicanHulk wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 3:34 pm I thought the Gruden contract was voided. & the AP contract was two years. What up? Missed you all. Been some rough years, but finally finding my way through the storm. Things are looking up. Been a long f[raiders_icon]cked up road.Corleone wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 7:07 am Did you really just came back after years and years to say that you think Pete needs to stick around? My god man, what have they done to you?
Anyway. No! Pete has been incompetent! Point is we need to hire and keep a coach. We can't build a foundation with the constant turnover.
Love all my old boys. Hope to be on here more.

I’ll be honest—I was initially on board with the Pete Carroll hire. But at this point, his stubbornness, nepotism, and reliance on favored players have crossed from frustrating into outright incompetence. He came in clearly committed to a win-now approach, which was defensible early in the season. But once it became obvious this roster wasn’t ready, a coach who truly wanted a future with this organization needed to adapt. He never did.
It starts with his son and the offensive line. The staff took essentially the same personnel, shuffled positions, and somehow turned a middle-of-the-pack unit into the worst offensive line in football. That’s inexcusable. A coach’s job isn’t just to maximize talent—it’s to develop it. Whatever the JPJ situation is, it’s unacceptable. You can blame talent all you want, but last year this same group was mediocre. This year they’re dead last. Same players, worse results. The tape backs it up. It’s bad.
Defensively, Patrick Graham is the biggest victim of this regime. He’s a legitimately good coordinator who has consistently managed to get mediocre results regardless of talent level. This year, though, there’s been a clear drop-off—and that’s not because Graham forgot how to coach. It’s because of Pete’s influence. We’re running Cover 3 at one of the highest rates in the league. Cover 3 still has a place in today’s NFL—but only if you have the personnel to run it. We don’t. Not even close. If Graham had been allowed to stick with his system, the defense still wouldn’t be great, but it would at least be respectable. Instead, he’ll likely be gone when this regime turns over, despite not being the real problem.
There are schematic issues everywhere. This isn’t about Carroll suddenly forgetting how to coach. It’s about a 70-plus-year-old coach believing he could force his way to wins using an outdated, inflexible philosophy. Add nepotism and favoritism to the mix, and this was never going to work long-term.
Yes, the roster still lacks talent—but with proper coaching and adaptation, this team could realistically be a 6–7 win group and far more competitive week to week. In a strange way, Carroll’s stubborn win-now mentality may have done the Raiders a favor by exposing how broken this approach really is. This ship was never going to be right with such an old-school mindset.
The biggest concern isn’t Pete Carroll anymore—it’s the next hire. The Raiders have to finally get this right, and that starts with the front office. Until that’s fixed, nothing else will.

Do you actually have evidence that Brady has full say in all operations or are you just having a BDS tantrum?Sold My Soul wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 4:43 pm Having thought I had a good evaluation of this organization, I could never have been more wrong about a HC hire than Iwas with gramps.
