PG didnt like that change ill bet. He sucked when he called plays from the sidelines and attributed the better defense later on to him being up in the box calling plays.He said he could see the field better or something like that. I think its a good move, only the owner should be up in a box, coaches need to be on the field and immersed.

Final prediction 8 or 9 wins if Geno stays healthy. 4 if he misses significant time.

I think we’ll be competitive especially on offence. I just don’t see it with this defence though. Maxx will be Maxx but beyond that there’s not much help. Koonce needs to have a monumental breakout because it looks like we’re not gonna be covering anyone.

I haven't seen anything in preseason that makes Pete feel any different than any coach we had but as you say he carries a level of professionalism and year 1 could look ugly, he's trying to figure it all out to. Playoffs this year is quite an accomplishment and whatever falls apart you address next year.

If the OL sucks that even messes up the potential nice O we could have.

No offense, but playoffs this year is not happening.

But I am hopeful that Pete is building the team from the ground up. Next year (we say that a lot in the Nation, don't we?) we will have a young, competitive team with homegrown leaders. Next year, it's always next year.

Perhaps I missed a word in there for better clarification, I don't think this is a playoff year. It would be coach of the year material stuff if it is.

It's about getting to know the team, there will be more familiarity with everyone next year and the holes will be clearly known to the current staff.

There's no panic at backup QB. There's no panic with Jakobi. No panic in the secondary. Let this squad play and improve and make the calls needed next year.

Hoping for at least some fun times this year. Lets see some good coaching.

Agree with everything you said here. Don't remember how long you have been in Silver and Black but for me it is going on 50 effing years. And it is getting so frustrating to start over every 2 years. Sorry for venting, its just so tiring. Maybe I should follow pickle ball.

I'd say 7 wins if Geno is healthy.

I would say our defense might be suspect, if our defense is good to great maybe 10 wins.

I would have said 6 or 7, but as clueless as this front office is proving to be, I just don't know.

The best move was Chip Kelly & we could’ve kept AP & Telesco to make that move. Of course, Mark & Brady will give interviews this year about how much better we are as an organization or something.

8 wins. To say this this front office is clueless or you haven't really seen a difference between Pete Carrol and the craptastic coach we had last year is insane.

Last year we had four wins with that dreck at QB and a clueless HC. Geno +2 wins, Carroll+2 wins. 8 wins.
