That will be the question going forward. Are The Raiders better with Jeanty & 2nd or 3rd round O-Line or if they took Membou/Booker & Henderson/Judkins?
Good question. I will answer with another question. Do you have a better chance of finding an OG like Booker in the next draft or free agency or finding an elite RB prospect like Jeanty?
The draft is not merely about next season it is about the next 4 or 5 seasons.

Lets not forget that Tampa has done a great job taking OT a bit later and making them guards to much success.

I remember the draft grades the Raiders got last year when they picked Bowers. The grades seemed to suggest the Raiders really made a huge mistake. Then the season happened.
So, I am highly reluctant to give them much of my time right now...or well, any time.
Get off my lawn you crusty old bastard
I will take that as a compliment. Grades, schmades. What do any of us know? Hey I wanted Jeanty too. Do I get a gold star in my daily Raiders Forum attendance report?
This crusty old bastard (will be 74 years old in a month) just skied 8 out of 9 days at Snowbird and Solitude, Utah, And, no, not just the intermediate runs. Don't ask me to run the 100 yard dash, but I can use gravity to my advantage.

Time will tell! We had the league's top runner a few years back and didn't do shit! Miller is in decline, often injured and want's a new contract; Glaze is a question mark. new right guard as Powers Johnson moves to center. Raiders can only hope this mistake prone, penalty prone unit that cost us two starting QB's last year can step up.

Ashton Jeanty is far and away more talented than Jacobs ever was.
We're talking about one of the most decorated RB's in FBS history. He's the RB version of Brock Bowers.
Jeanty is the new Ricky Williams. He instantly makes us competitive.

I refuse to get too excited, we need a runner he’s the best available, I’m not ready to crown him the second coming. Someone take away his car keys and get him a driver, everything else we’ll wait and see, I’m more curious how the QB will do, while this can help it’s still a question for me, Geno gets lots of shines toys now let’s see how he plays with them.
Here’s do another year, hopefully a happy one for the first time in a long time. Cheers.

Called it back in December.
....and was ridiculed and was told that you can't take a RB in the 1st round because of " value" and that it would be a "luxury" pick.
I called it when he was in the 4th grade.
Welcome Mr Jeanty!!!!!!!!! Going to love watching you leave cleat marks on anyone trying to take you down.

Obviously an extremely gifted back it, however, has been pointed out by some he played his college years against D-2 defenses nowhere near the caliber of D-1 defenses. The step to the NFL puts him in un-charted waters especially with a revamped more than questionable O line.

Williams had some good seasons, but was a bit of a pain in the ass as a teammate. I would rather hope we got the next Walter Payton, or who they were comparing him too on ESPN -- Emmit Smith.

Jeanty is the new Ricky Williams. He instantly makes us competitive.
He very well could be, but you will still have to do it. When we look at RB's over the past 5 years or so, Jacobs is well high on that list. We under play him. We underplayed his rushing title cause it didn't come with an abundant number of wins. When he walked we were overall pretty ok with it. This is one of the best over the past 5... it sort of explains positional value of a RB on such little care was given.
I'm hoping Jeanty = Marcus Allen type pop from the start. If so no one will be complaining. I hope we give him holes.
