Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

??? Gay's 2 best seasons came under Joe DeCamillis in LA in 2021-2022.

“Nothing is ever as good as it seems and nothing is ever as bad as it seems”
Happy with the staff and FAs we signed. Koolaid is flowing.
Asked Google “Which NFL team had the best FA day today”
“As of March 9, 2026, the Las Vegas Raiders are widely considered to have had the best start to free agency, utilizing over $120 million in cap space to sign top talent like center Tyler Linderbaum ($27M/year), LB Quay Walker, and DE Kwity Paye.”
I’m still guarded though. Been way too many years of suffering to fall for this just yet :)

Arguably, our most important positions of need before the draft... QB, DE, OL, LB, WR, DB.
Come April we will have addressed the QB position with the #1 pick. Every other position was addressed in FA at least to some extent. Come draft day it will be interesting because when pick #14 rolls around it gives us options to address any and all positions now? Maybe it will even keep teams guessing?

Maybe a suggestion from Harbaugh to his brother?Jeevo wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 10:25 pm Kolar’s deal with the Chargers is one of today’s head scratchers.

The Harbaughs get a hard dick over blocking TE's who have some catching ability. The Chiefs went from damn near 60 million over the cap to spending roughly 40-45 million today. Reminder that the cap is bullshit if you needed the reminder

And then there were 2 Oakland Raiders left.

...the 1st 3 picks will also be more revealing, and including when re-reviewing some of the moves already made.DanKD wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 8:59 pm Definitely some revealing info about some aspects of what Spytek and Kubiak think of the roster. They clearly thought our LB were a big weakness. The lack of a guard tells me they may like JPJ and Rogers as starters.

So who had the best first day? Obviously we are in there with some interesting pickups but there were teams that did some very interesting moves. Jets and Titans were very active as was the Saints.
