Around the NFL
No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

The phrasing of the tweet is odd but if he sent it and recalled it before it was read, that would keep it from the executives. But recalling an email depending on your platform is pretty easy. It does not always work but it can be done. I use google for work and recovering an email is pretty simple. Had it been forwarded inside the walls of the NFL that is another thing.

As far as I know once it lands in their inbox it’s over, it’s on another server and you can’t access it. You do get that small amount of time after hitting send but it’s quick.Attyla wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 9:31 am The phrasing of the tweet is odd but if he sent it and recalled it before it was read, that would keep it from the executives. I’d recommend to everyone to edit your email settings to make that delay time between hitting send and it actually sending as long as possible. It’s saved me a time or two from sending one that I may have regretted.

An email can be recalled depending upon the server. I believe the NFL has a stand alone network that the players and execs can access. If that server has a recall option, and again based on the set up, a recall can be requested and granted from seconds to several minutes. I know internally on my job you can recall an email for several minutes. In cases where it is too late, sending a recall request also forwards a message stating the sender has requested this email be recalled. Essentially it sends a notification that the communication is not valid or being corrected. Very helpful in healthcare.Jeevo wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 10:58 am As far as I know once it lands in their inbox it’s over, it’s on another server and you can’t access it. It may be semantic and who he sent it to. It's possible he sent the email and then sent a 2nd email telling to ignore the 1st email so the retirement email was never delivered to the proper department/person.
