He's 61 years old and likely burnt to a crisp with being an HC. Maybe as an OC for whomever our new HC will be?
Is 61 considered too old now?

Damn, just turned 60 myself. I’ll walk myself to the glue factory
I don't know how Brady turns down the easiest 37 million a year from Fox. What a dumb contract Fox gave him, their lucky if he brings in an extra 1 million a year. Who's going out of their way to listen to an announcer?
I think a announcer, a guy named Madden had a very big following along with his partner Summerall.
Last year they were the best offense in the league, did they get bit by the injury bug this year?
I think Tua is done mentally due to all the injuries. They tried to get him to retire, he refused because he just signed a huge contract. Hes just playing to meet the eligibility criteria at this point. He most likely wont get another big contract, maybe no contract at all.

Josh McCown. Was loved as a player, known to have a brilliant football mind & was a coach before he was even a coach. He's played in a lot of different systems & was a quarterback for many different teams. He's well respected already. He's gonna be a HC some day. Currently Vikings QB coach

Doing what I do is cruise control. I cannot imagine being a HC of an NFL team which is 24/7/365 at that age. I think guys like Reid, Carroll and guys who have been with one team for so long have an advantage over someone around that age rebuilding a team like ours. Harbaugh who is 61, strategically inherited a team that had a QB in place so that would help alleviate the work load. McCarthy was 57 when he took over the cowboys. And of course this is also predicated on the individual himself. Carroll looked and acted energetic where McCarthy looks beat to me.

Shefter just said that AP and The Thumb have been talking about the future/offseason moves. He didn't say a word about Telesco.

I've never wanted Shefter to be more wrong about anything.

I was listening to Rich Herrera this morning and a poor Jag fan called in wanting advice on what was needed in JVille and Rich told him Trevor wasn't't living up to his contract and has regressed as a QB, which is true, then he said they need to blow the whole thing up and start over, and bring in a guy to change the culture like a Jon Gruden.

I need the number for the suicide hotline; STAT.
There's the misguided notion that HCs don't want to come here. That's largely wrong because there's only 32 HC positions in the world, and in any given year, there's usually as little as 3-4 that are open.

OTOH, if we keep AP, what coordinators are going to want to come here? Those guys already have jobs and if they're considered HC material they can afford to wait for the right situation, rather than one with no viable QB and a HC that coaches scared and can't manage a game.

My guess is that we'd be looking at current QB coaches and another position coach for DC, which means that we'd have a HC who's in over his head and coordinators who would be in their first year as coordinators.

It's a recipe for further failure.

There have been rumours that Ben Johnson is eyeing the Jags job and, if he wants it, I assume he’ll get it.
