He literally was the "leader" of this team last year and kept the team together when there was no head coach and the team won 6 straight to get into the playoffs. Hes good enough to do it and hes proved it with much much less talent around him the past 9 years.
Its much easier to cycle through Head Coaches than find a better QB than DC.
If I'm not mistaken Bisaccia was our HC...I don't ever recall us not having a HC,,,correct me if I'm wrong?
I'll be honest, I thought the oline was going to be a whole lot worse than it is. A mobile QB could succeed with this group.
Carr is a mobile QB. But for whatever reason he never runs. Guy ran a 4.69 forty at the combine. IMHO it's the most MiNdBoGgLiNg part of his play.
If he would just use the wheels he has and force defenses to honor he could take off at any time it would help open passing lanes for him and the team.

This is year nine, forty time be damned because it does not generally translate to.the field.
He just either doesn't have the instincts or they are overridden by other factors and flaws so he is FUNCTIONALLY immobile and has proven so.
All but devoid of the practical ability to slide left or right in the pocket and no knack or inclination to take off.
Hell, just stepping up is a recent innovation.

Lots of us are ready for the end of the Carr "experiment". In case anyone thinks we're just blaming everything on Carr, I think a lot of the same people are likely ready for the end of the Averett, Chandler Jones, etc. experiments too (I am).

There's plenty of blame to go around, but Carr is the central figure in all of this.
I can't believe that McDaniels can't scheme our WRs open in such way as to take advantage of the focus placed on Adams. Clearly, Adams has become Carr's baby bottle, which would be fine if it weren't at the expense of everyone else. When teams roll an entire side of their coverage to Adams, that means that guys like Hunter Renfrow are going to be open.
WTF happened to our Third and Renfrow? The guy's money in the bank but we've barely heard a peep from him. He has been injured, but he's been on the field the last two weeks. Coupled with Moreau and Hollins, there should be someone open for 5+ yards on almost every single play.
But what we're seeing is what we've been seeing for years: Carr locking on to one receiver and ignoring the rest of the field.
Yeah, he even looks burned out getting into a new system, which he's semi-responsible for other than Gruden. He's still by far the best QB we had since Gannon and funny enough holds a lot of Raider records. So I won't hate him after he leaves, but it's time to move on and draft a QB next year.
I’m with you here. This was a put up or shut up year and he hasn’t done enough. Time to move on. But, make no mistake, Stidham is not the answer.

Say what you want about him as a player, but his teammates seem to respect him.

https://twitter.com/sanjit__t/status/15 ... ytjox3zhjQ
Its not the first time hes done that and wont be the last. He knew where he was going to throw it before the ball was snapped so he didnt bother to even look anywhere else.
