Post Game thread - no moral victories, But…
Don’t believe in moral victories but the Raiders fought till the end.
In years past this team would have folded. It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t mistake free but we just proved we can go toe to toe with the Chiefs this year.

We will be a better team the last game of the season than we are now. I believe that game may be flexed to a prime time game. Yes, I'm drinking the kool-aid just a bit.raiders93 wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 7:04 pm 100% this. Again this was legitimately the worst team in the league last year. And now we’re 3-1 talking about a 4th down call because we lost to the chiefs by 3. Does no one else see this and think “where the f[raiders_icon]ck did this team come from?”
Assuming the wheels don’t fall off, if we keep playing like this we’re going to beat a lot of teams and honestly, it’s not a stretch to say we look like a playoff team. If that’s not a testament to Kubiak being the f[raiders_icon]cking man I don’t know what else there is.

Jeanty definitely isn't 100% but the run blocking right now is awful. No holes, no road grading power blocks, guards are not pulling well at all. When I see Jeanty "dancing" it looks to me like he is waiting for a hole that is supposed to develop but never does because gaps are filled by the defense and blockers are not redirecting traffic. When 1-2 yards are needed the line is pushed back or at best stood up at the LOS. Pass blocking is better than last year but run blocking looks similar.Rdrfan1964 wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 7:13 pm Kubiak from the beginning of his tenure has stressed the run game. It's the only way to go unless it's inconsistent. Too many first and second down runs for little or no yardage especially trying to run wide leaving third and long. This happened a lot and KC knew what was coming and turned up the heat. We need to go to an up tempo, pass first offense. The running game will come --hopefully. it cost us today.

I don't believe he was bragging. He doesn't have to. Failure has as much to do with breeding success as acquiring talent and "learning how to win." He will be apply what this experience taught him and be a better coach because of it.Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 6:18 pm IDC that he unapologetically owned the call. Going up 16-10 on a Super Bowl contender in your own house is big. Eve JJ Watt admitted that if KC scored back to back touchdowns you’re only down 1 score. No way a 4th & 2 opportunity was it worth it right there. I’d rather him be smart than brag about being aggressive
His approach won him a Super Bowl ring.

Fresh off a 2 week time out after rage baiting Homers provocation I must say my synopsis of the game is we have arrived, the only thing I had a problem with was taking points OFF the board! When we were down 30 to 19 that would have been a death grip any other past year, but we scored 8 quick very impressive! We are a few players away from being a legit contender & a few injuries away from being shit! This coaching staff is top notch & for that I’m Happy!!!!!:) Go Raiders! The kick off punch out was the killer other than that I firmly believe we would be 4-0

Absolutely. I would go so far as to say we can beat any team.
The way this board is reacting it seems we’ve been losing so long we’ve forgotten how to be happy

The play that hurt most was the kickoff fumble. The guy should have gone down immediately when he had that many tacklers on him. He would have been down before that player punched the ball out. Instead we end up giving them a additional 7 points in a 30-27 point loss. Take that 7 away and that's a 27-23 Raiders win. Would it have played out that way no one knows, but it would have been nice to see the Raiders march down the field after that kickoff and score to go into the lead at that time of the game.
Giving a team as good as the chiefs 14 pts in the span of a few minutes was a back breaker.
BUT, OUR RAIDERS ARE A REAL, COMPETITIVE, NO QUIT, PROFESSIONAL NFL TEAM!! FINALLY!
Now we just need to keep this front office and coaching staff together for a few decades at least!

Problem is that when he starts dancing, he ends up breakdancing.RN4L75 wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 7:28 pm Jeanty definitely isn't 100% but the run blocking right now is awful. Walker 2025 stats. He wasn’t an all pro. It takes a while to get the run game going

Yes, that fumble was a back breaker but we shrugged it off and kept punching. I think we learned a lot about his team today.ELCAraiderfan wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 7:53 pm The play that hurt most was the kickoff fumble. I never believed that playoffs was a word that could be applied realistically to the 2026 team. After four weeks I think that it can be.Viper wrote: Sun Oct 04, 2026 7:47 pm Absolutely. I would go so far as to say we can beat any team.

The offense will only continue to improve and the defense is solid enough. More importantly this team believes in itself.

My guess is the media pundits will shit on us like we haven't accomplished shit while we could have had a great chance to beat the Queefs minus the FG squandered & the fumbled kick off return, but hey we gave it Hell for 4 quarters!!!!! So f[raiders_icon]ck the Media in advance & the power rankings;) Out of the 7 highlights on NFL Network it was 6 great plays for KC & 1 for the Raiders it's like we didn't even show up & God knows what ESPN will show...SMH

Great game. Played out like a playoff or Superbowl matchup. If any one of those critical plays had gone differently, we win that.
There's definitely a greater layer to this sport than just wins and losses. Winning is a side effect of getting the rest of it right. We've got a great coach, and we're going to win many, many games going forward.
