Brock Bowers to miss a few games after Knee procedure.
Ouch. Top weapon gone for a few games.

That would mostly be on defense then. RB done, QB done, TE done, if JPJ has a solid year we need one more piece on OL. WR we have 2's and 3's, but no 1's.Viper wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 9:00 am Regardless, in my mind we are about 10 players away from being a 9-10 win team.
So Malik Willis waited to finally get the chance to start and all the new guys fighting for a contract are gonna lose on purpose week 1?DeathStar24 wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 9:07 am It's the plan going into the season. So yes, week 1 would factor into that![]()
i agree, since bowers injury ive gone from 80/20 victory to 60/40 victory the raiders -3 is essentially a pickem gameSkullCrusher wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 8:50 am Who's the home team?
Are Raider fans going to out number Dolphin fans?
Actually in this case I expect that.
But I'm not sure the Raiders do have that 3 point home advantage in reality.
we drafted washington after taking jeanty high in the draft (back to back yrs) for the most part washington fell 2 rds past his talent level and you can see that on the field, seattle took kenneth walker high in the 2nd rd and then drafted charbs in teh 2nd rd the following yr a true 1a-1b on talent both with defined roles too...how this shakes out is still to be determined (ken walker role vs charbs role) our oline is upgraded and should be able to open up running lanes for bothSkullCrusher wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 8:48 am Interesting. I hope you're right, it would make things a whole lot better.
You're right. Willis is the future. When I think long term success, he is the guy who comes first to mind. Ya got meFLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 10:33 am So Malik Willis waited to finally get the chance to start and all the new guys fighting for a contract are gonna lose on purpose week 1?Good lord this place has lost its mind

Attyla wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 8:47 am well, don't be wrong all the time about literally everything you say and then parade around trying to get some validation like some sorority chick on a bender begging for attention from the guys at the party.
When it comes to football the safest bet is always... always, to say this guy is no good and this team is no good and your odds of always looking right skyrocket. Then you can sit around pontificating and boring others about how right you always are as if you are some kind of football genius. It's easy to sit there and say this or that team is no good and anything shy of a SB win you can say I told you so. Doing that is easy. Even with a SB win you can say the team got lucky or you finally missed one.DanKD wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 4:10 pm Every opinion has like a 50% chance of being right so give enough of them and some are going to inevitably be correct.
Seattle lost their QB last night in the 1st few min and rallied to win. The system is stout and that is what we need here.Viper wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 5:59 pm Aside from Qb, there is no one player that should sway a win/loss potential in any given game, even as great as Bowers is. Does he give us a better chance? Absolutely, but if we’re putting all our eggs for a win in the tight end basket we have bigger problems as a team. Much bigger.
Especially against the Dolphins.
For sure, I’m just not convinced our best Qb is starting and whereas they have 2 seasoned guys in their prime in that room, we have an aging one starting whose arm is suspect and a young man behind him that I believe gives us a better chance at winning. Establishing a better than average running game successfully will go a long ways in getting our less than stellar receivers open.STHfrontrow wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 7:15 pm Seattle lost their QB last night in the 1st few min and rallied to win. Attyla wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 3:17 pm no, that is not what you said at the time. You tell us opinions and then say you are right. That is wrong, and thus you are wrong. Dear God, your need for validation is honestly pathetic.
