I’m done

Unread post by AdamJoshua28 »

I have been a follower of this team since the 1960s. Watched some amazing teams. Those Monday nights where we were unbeatable. Amazing teams, and amazing wins.

We haven’t done shit for over 20 years. This is the biggest joke in the f[raiders_icon]cking league. I lived in Boston for 18 years through the Patriots being basically Super Bowl contenders every year and everyone asked me why don’t just change teams I said some Raiders fan we don’t change teams.

Well, I’m not changing teams, but I see no point in watching this shit anymore, does this ruin the day for you already? The text are coming in from my friends same thing every week every month every year

All I can say is, I’m glad the NHL is back

Good luck gentlemen maybe I’ll come back after that shithead piece of crap that owns the team sells it but until then I’m done with this f[raiders_icon]cking team. I wasted too much of my f[raiders_icon]cking life worrying about these f[raiders_icon]cking crap players. Bullshit coaches bullshit moves.

f[raiders_icon]ck them and f[raiders_icon]ck Mark Davis

You don’t have to bother to reply you can delete this really don’t care logging out now. Maybe I’ll be back in a few years after the team is sold.

Interesting to read through this thread though from the other side of the water - that switching teams based on how well your team is doing is a thing? Unfortunately I've signed up to life to the Raiders....and West Ham here in UK :sobbing:
I'm a Raiders fan living in the Philly suburbs. You know how hard it is to watch 2 parades come through town while your team is fumbling around just get 4 or 5 wins?

But Philly kicking Kermit's ass was a nice consolation prize...

My son is an Eagles fan so watching for him has been great.

Serious question: because of decades of suck, you almost have to have another team to root for in a secondary sense. Case in point my son with the Eagles. A few folks mentioned other teams for various reasons.

Which in the whole is understandable as the Raiders haven’t given us anything to root for.

I follow the Eagles but not sure I'd say I root for em. Sometimes I find it funny when they lose becuase the whole city is up in arms and the sky is falling.

I don't really have a second team. I live in Titans central and watch them with some interest so that I can have conversations with my Titan fan friends, but that is the only reason. I actually enjoy when they lose. I use to hang out at a spot where Wycheck would go and we chatted up a bit before his death. Nice guy, but he knew who I rooted for.

For me, a secondary team is mostly teams I root against. Division teams, and usually teams where I dislike a player. Example, I really enjoyed watching the Saints lose the last couple year. I have also enjoyed watching the Dolphins lose because they have a player on their roster I dislike

Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 6:25 pm Oh, I know. I spent eight days in a coma for Septic Shock, during which time (I've been told):

1) I was hooked up to 18 IVs at once.

2) The doctors told my wife they didn't know if I was going to make it.

3) The doctors said if this had happened 10 years ago, I would not have made it, as some of the drugs they treated me with literally didn't exist then.

4) There was nurse by my side 24/7 whose job was to alert the doctors if I went into cardiac arrest. That was literally her only job: To just sit there by my side.

And when I woke up, I had to learn how to sit up, stand up, and walk all over again. My life these days is about working from home and checking the fat content of everything I eat (high fat is no bueno when you have a bad pancreas). But I'm alive, in my right mind, and have gradually increased my walking until I'm currently doing about 2/3 mile every morning before work.
This is why no matter how much of a fan we are there are much more important things in life. I am Raiders for life, but have learned to live with defeat. It doesn't control my mood like it used to. My Daughter is a huge fan as well, kinda feel guilty for doing this to her. But she is 20, I'm sure they will be relevant in her lifetime, right? Glad your health is better, it really is the most important thing.

Sometimes your football mental health comes down to are you a football fan because you "like" The Raiders? Or are you a Raiders' fan because you like football?

Yeah and they are the talk of the town. Phils are in NLDS and Eagle talk will still overthrow it.

I have a really good friend who is in Eldon, NJ and he's probably the biggest Eagle fan I know. Been working at the Linc since it opened and family is season ticket holders. Probalby the nicest guy you'll accross so he doesn't fit the profile. 97% are over bearing and obnoxious.

Always been partial to TB before the SB, they were like we are now but we might be worse for the duration of futility. Then again they did go 0-14 in their first season and something like 0-13 more before their first win or some such. Now I wish we had Baker.

Same with Green Bay. Lombardi is the bar by which everything is measured. There is a reason why the trophy is named after him.

I attend a fair amount of Seahawks games. While I don't have any attachments towards them they are entertaining to watch.

If we get to pick 2nd teams now I’m taking the Bills. Allen is my favorite player so it’s settled.
