What’s Cookin' on Gameday 2025
In the vein of what's cooking with Scotman and Attyla.
As in years past, the 2025 What’s Cookin for Gameday thread. Post each week what you’re having on Gameday, drinks, appetizers etc,
Last year’s turned up some good stuff, so keep these in mind:
* Each week post what you are having for food, aka main dish.
* Appetizers?
* Desert?
* Each week what are you drinking?
* Include what you're having if you're tailgating.
* If you are ordering, what are you ordering?
* Brunch, you name it.

We're not sure today. Mrs Willmark is working late and yesterday we were at Niagara Falls so didn't have as much time to prep for today. Likely means a grub hub gameday.

Geno's would be a bad ass name for a Pizzeria. I am sure there are several out there. Speaking of Pizza I think I will make a French Bread pizza. ADHD at its finest, hey look, a squirrel!

Homemade meat sauce (Bolognese for you fancy pants types) for spaghetti. Roast Brussels sprouts, Pacifico. (might be moving to one of my more "winter" beers soon, but it is a warm day here in So Cal, so my summer beer it will be)

So I made two pizzas (actually four)
One was with a sourdough loaf and Italian chicken sausage and goat cheese for the wife and the other with french bread, pepperoni and motzerella cheese. Fresh basil on both.
I liked the wife's healthy(ish) pizza better.

In the 70’s there was a pizzeria in Santa Barbara/Goleta named “Petrinis”. I went to school with a few of the kids in that family. Still the best pizza in my memory. Long gone now thoughToastPatterson wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 11:36 am Geno's would be a bad ass name for a Pizzeria. I am sure there are several out there. I was listening to the game driving back from Santa Barbara today - I think Pertrini's is still there:Xramfan wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 6:46 pm In the 70’s there was a pizzeria in Santa Barbara/Goleta named “Petrinis”. There is a “Petrinis” still there but no longer owned by the original family. Different location and pretty bad pizza in my opinion. The original family owned restaurant was phenomenal.srv5490 wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 9:38 pm I was listening to the game driving back from Santa Barbara today - I think Pertrini's is still there:

I just clicked your link and it sure looks like it is still owned by the original family so I stand corrected. When I went back about 10 years ago and ate there, (different location from the 70’s) I was disappointed but maybe it was just a bad night. I’ll have to try it again next time I’m there

I don't think I'll ever cut back on red meat consumption. Don't care what "studies" find or anything of that matter. We're all going to be 6ft under at some point. I sure as hell am going to enjoy myself, especially what I eat, while I'm hereXramfan wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 5:25 pm I only eat fast food

I would think that had something to do with filling you up faster too. No?Attyla wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 4:30 am red meat fills me up way too fast these days. I had a beef tenderloin yesterday, and after 5 bites I was full. But the red potatoes along side it were amazing as were the green beans
