I don't get the infatuation with Flores. He bombed in Miami and more importantly, everyone bitches about the Patriot way conveniently ignores the tree he's from
I would not say he bombed in Miami. He had a power struggle there no doubt. If rumors are true, he correctly wanted to draft Love instead of Tua.

I still want an offensive minded coach, but nobody can argue with the results that Flores has had with the Vikings. He took over a D that was ranked 24th in the league. They also lost their best player on defense in free agency last season in Hunter. The guy has gotten results. Whether anyone likes him or not, he has that unit playing exceptional. I am not going to take him off the board or crucify him because Josh McDouche was such a bad hire. That is what stupid teams do....never mind.

Liam Coen for me, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up a better head coach than Ben Johnson.

Pair him with a DC who was a failed HC recently. Eberflus For example.

Coen also played quarterback at UMass from 2004 to 2008 where he was a four-year starter, wearing the jersey number 12 in honor of his favorite athlete, Tom Brady

I do think the Pierce hiring is a good piece of evidence just to wait until after the season to fire coaches. Interims pretty much always fail as the full time hire but if they have some success that year after the firing it can be tough to go a different direction.

Why do people ignore he's a Belichick disciple and say they don't want the Patriotcway etc, yet bring up Flores name?

Pick a coach who can evaluate QBs based off more than picking the one who is more mobile.

Pick a coach that can do the whole job: Motivate players... understands X's and O's/schemes.. be a disciplinarian when needed.... make half time adjustments...etc...

He had success with the Dolphins but beefed with management. The Phins had winning records in his final 2 years. This is a far cry from McDouche and his results are in a different stratosphere when compared to him. Flores has been nothing short of exceptional with the Vikings. Again, I prefer an offensive minded coach. However, to negate what this guy has done or comparing him to McDouche (apples and oranges) is silly.

How long B4 Chip Kelly gets back in the NFL?

After this game you know his name will be bantered about.
