[quote=RunOverByHubbard post_id=960837]Nice bit of soul/blues music posted by Sold My Soul. I saw Jr. Wells (with his pal Buddy Guy) way back in the early 1980's. Something else. Bands like the Tower of Power hardly seem to exist today, or they certainly are not in fashion. They feature musicianship, not computers. Love it.[/quote]I love Buddy Guy. I have seen him several times. Once a few years ago with BB King before he passed

[Verse 1]
Yes now, wake up, mama, turn your lamp down low
Wake up, mama, turn your lamp down low
Have you got the nerve drive Papa Taj from your door?
[Verse 2]
Woke up in the morning, baby, I had them Statesboro Blues
Statesboro, Georgia that is
Woke up this morning had them Statesboro Blues
I looked over in the corner, grandma baby had 'em too
[Verse 3]
Mama died and left me reckless, papa died and left me wild I ain't good lookin' baby but I'm someone's sweet angel-child
Goin' to the country, baby do you want to go
I know if you can't make it, your sister Lucille said she want to go
[Verse 4]
You know I love that woman better than any woman I've ever seen
Yes I love that woman better than any woman I've ever seen
She treat me like a king
I treat her like she, she was a dog gone queen
[Verse 1]
Wake up momma, turn your lamp down low
Wake up momma, turn your lamp down low
Have you got the nerve drive Papa Taj from your door?

"Eyes Of Silver"
Eyes of silver hungry and aware
Eyes of silver, your mystic love I share
'Cause I'm hungry baby
For the love you give away
Kick out all that stupid pride
That's standin' in my way
Inside my loving eyes are open wide
Eyes of silver, on which I shall rely
Diamonds are forever, and gold can make you lie
But your eyes of silver shine on, shine on
Blades of steel have helped a man to conquer all
Rubies by the hundreds fill the Taj Mahal
Eyes of silver, you tell me what I need
To bring this cold and lonely man
Down to his bended knees
Inside my lovin' arms are open wide
For you eyes of silver
On which I shall rely
Diamonds and gold make you lie, lie, lie
But your eyes of silver, they shine on, shine on
Eyes of silver, baby, shine on, shine on
Baby, shining, yeah yeah, yeah, baby shining
