College Football Thread - 2026
It’s that time of year for us to dog fight about who’s college team is better.
Best way to start it out IMO is with the preseason coaches poll that just dropped:
Preseason Coaches Poll
1.Ohio State
2.Oregon
3.Georgia
4.Texas
5.Notre Dame
6.Indiana
7.Miami
8.Texas A&M
9.Oklahoma
10.Ole Miss
11.Alabama
12.Texas Tech
13.LSU
14.USC
15.BYU
16.Michigan
17.Penn State
18.Tennessee
19.Washington
20.SMU
21.Utah
22.Iowa
23.Clemson
24.Houston
25.Missouri
We all know who are backing after that last few years but the 2026 season is almost upon us.
For my own part, this year is special I’m attending my first home game ever at ND on 9/12.

ND vs Syracuse on the 28th. It’s a shade under 2 hours away from the house.
Looking at tickets, $$$ because it’s the front row in section 114 (just off the 50) but might work out.
If we go it’s Willmark Jr and I as he’s a ND fan as well.

That's ok we can move the teams around each week, still vote, still count, still rank.pfish57 wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2026 4:42 pm This is what happens when you put a Big 12 BYU team #2 they lose the next week to a 3-3 UCF...what a pathetic Joke!!!!
This isn't something you have to get right or the levy breaks as no children harmed in the making.

It’s going to be amusing when the justifications roll in at the end of the month.

Oh and it’s doubtful in my opinion that ND beats Miami this Saturday.

It has nothing to do with them having 2 losses that’s why. It has everything to do with should they lose a third time. What happens and has every time since the new system was applied is to rank SEC teams as high as possible in the pre-season and then avoid dropping them if a loss happens
Everyone else gets punished for losses, but strangely SEC teams do not.
Case in point Alabama could lose four games and they are still getting in.

More baffling is how is Indiana #4? Inched by Minnesota. Tough one against Wisconsin and your only loss is at home to Ohio St who isn't in the top 12.

Despite two ranked teams playing, the Leonard Moore/Malachai Toney matchup would have been cinematic.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2026 4:56 pm Malachai Toney to have ankle surgery. Huge loss for Miami.
