More wins than last year, Jets post game thread
With the win in New York today. The 2026 Raiders have already passed the win total from last year. We all wanted improvement and now it’s official in the record books,

It sucks going through it, but it’s probably for the best we have this schedule this year when we are rebuilding. It gets the young players a lot of good high caliber reps and then when we expect to compete for the playoffs going forward the schedule should ease up.Willmark wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 6:30 am What’s getting lost when we lose is the fact there is talent in this team.
When we win the detractors are saying “look at the level of our competition.”
Yet the same applies in reverse against the teams who have more talent than us.
It’s year 1, aside from the Pats let down we have played tough in almost every game. We’re playing the NFC West and AFC East, that’s unfortunate scheduling.

I'm not against Washington at all just exposing what I believe is bias against Jeanty. It's OK to like Washington more but there's nothing objective about it.Attyla wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 5:46 am my comment was more tongue in cheek. Our resident Jeanty champion used that same argument about power rankings.
If Jeanty had Washington's stats-- 25 carries for 3.3 ypc-- you would all state he had a terrible game.

No because I do not use a stat line as my final judgement with regards to a player. Stats are only part of the story. He is not running with the authority he had last year most of the year. Washington is a far lower draft pick so the expectations are lower. He ran a couple times very nicely, had a very good sweep and he had some duds.mranquales wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 9:51 am I'm not against Washington at all just exposing what I believe is bias against Jeanty. But what you are doing, what you always do, is find any and all ways to solidify your beliefs.

The young db's are getting some good experience. A dominate DT next year would go a long way to improving the defense

Agree. One dominant DT and a true WR1 could make things very interestingNor_Cal_Raider wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 10:08 am The young db's are getting some good experience. A dominate DT next year would go a long way to improving the defense

Somebody should start a thread;
Washington vs Jeanty….
What I like about Washington is that he will fight for the extra yard even the blocking not there….where Jeanty is; if no hole he just goes down….

Ok, I would tend to agree with you all here and I took Boston in my 2nd pick this year, lol.Xramfan wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 10:13 am Agree. One dominant DT and a true WR1 could make things very interesting
Yet, do you add just a good DT or do you add a scheme DT. Meaning do you draft a NG or a DT?

Get in there and take the lumps and dish some back.
None of are happy with the four game skid outside of those with ulterior motives. At the same time outside of the Pats had the ball bounced a different way or a mistake avoid etc? The results are different.
This is different than the decade of mediocrity under the Boy Wonder if for no other reason then organization is looking to the future and has a very good offensive mind pointing us in the right direction. That alone is huge. Klint hasn’t been perfect, no coach will ever be but he’s building something.
We’re 4-4. Could we be 2-6 if things went differently? Sure. We could also be 6-2 had things gone our way vs the chiefs and bills.
There is going to be mistakes and missed opportunities this year, that’s to be expected.
But if we can keep it going forward? That’s how teams are built.

Yeah that was quite the reach to say he high fived him even for him.Hellbound wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 5:27 am Watch it without biased eyes. Glenn was getting hyped up and he was the one that tried to high 5 the official. The official didn't do it back, said something to the effect of "no" and just gave a smile. Nothing to see there imo

If Seattle doesn't sign Nelson, he'd be my primary FA addition. The draft wr and dt in the 1st two rounds.

As much as I wanted him, we might have a shot at him next year in FA.Nor_Cal_Raider wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 11:24 am If Seattle doesn't sign Nelson, he'd be my primary FA addition. The draft wr and dt in the 1st two rounds.

And hopefully he goes soonWillmark wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 8:38 am No disagreement there. He’s likely going into the HOF when he hangs up the headset.
That said? Every great NFL coach outside of maybe Lombardi has the game pass them by for a variety of reasons.

I would have no problem with Washington being a superstar. He just hasn't shown that he is. Subpar pass blocking, subpar pass catching , fumble issues and average runner.Attyla wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 9:55 am No because I do not use a stat line as my final judgement with regards to a player. Our lines are soft as puppy shit. We do look better as a team this year, but we are not going anywhere without fixing both. Also, we still do not know what we have in Mendoza. If we do not give him some reps (especially that we are playing for a feel good participation trophy), that would be a disaster. I am not saying just throw him to the wolves. He should (at a minimum) get a scripted series starting this week.
