More wins than last year, Jets post game thread
With the win in New York today. The 2026 Raiders have already passed the win total from last year. We all wanted improvement and now it’s official in the record books,

It shouldn't take 38 points to beat the Jets.
Not sure if it has been mentioned but it's to see Nailor make a showing. 5 catches and TD is more than the previous games he's played combined.

What’s getting lost when we lose is the fact there is talent in this team.
When we win the detractors are saying “look at the level of our competition.”
Yet the same applies in reverse against the teams who have more talent than us.
It’s year 1, aside from the Pats let down we have played tough in almost every game. We’re playing the NFC West and AFC East, that’s unfortunate scheduling.

As a separate thought?
Is anyone scared of the Chiefs or Broncos?
By this I mean, especially with the chiefs: they are shadow of their former selves. Defense looks old and slow outside of Karloftis (sp?), same for Jones. Mr Swift is no where near enter what he once was.
Mahomes? Sense the fact he hasn’t been at his high level for the last two years prior to his injury. The end of the game? 2022 version of him would have done something insane. Instead? He looked like a guy coming off a major knee injury and a shade of himself.
Then there is Reid. Still running the offense he does without the weapons to do it. Walker is talented but he’s masking a lot of issue in their offense.
Why am I pointing this out? Until proven otherwise we’re at the bottom looking up relative to them. At the same time Reid, Harbaugh and Payton are not young. And once Reid retires it’s going to be a vastly different situation in KC.
Denver? Hard to get an actual read on them. Sure they won yesterday but are the world beaters? Remains to be seen.

What a great day!!!! Been going to New Jersey for every Raider jets/giants game for almost 25 years… never seen a win, covid year win and the Sunday night game i missed for health reasons. Had some terrible games to sit through the 09 Jamarcus beatdown from the giants… the Sam Darnold beat down from the jets. I wasn’t expecting a win and after that first half I was saying at least we had that huge kickoff TD to cheer for but this team fought back and won. I don’t give a damn if it’s the jets, what a stupid comment (who cares it was the jets)… we went across the country early start we’re down 9 after a terrible first half defensively and came back to win. So many Raider fans showed up as always, great tailgate before and after the game. Took my Ooni pizza oven had buffalo chicken, broccoli rabe and sausage and even an octopus pizza…. Just a great day overall…

I saw something somewhere that showed Nailor has been open quite often but they haven't went his way for some reason.I think there was more effort to get him the ballDeathStar24 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 5:46 am It shouldn't take 38 points to beat the Jets.

Right on! So glad they came out a different team in the second half.nmonte374 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 7:22 am What a great day!!!! Scared? No. However we can't keep expecting the offense to put up 28-31 points every game. They've got to figure out how to get to the QB on a more consistent level.Willmark wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 6:41 am As a separate thought?

this is the problem with our wr, you get occasional breakouts/explosion but then they go missing for multiple games, look at tre tucker with his zero body of work yesterday !!! we got a bunch of wr3/4's on this team, not one of em is better then a wr3 and that includes tre tucker, i cant wait for jack bech explosion game with a td next week and then gone for 4 games or moreDeathStar24 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 5:46 am It shouldn't take 38 points to beat the Jets.

No disagreement. My point was speaking to the fact in Chiefs case? This isn’t shaping up to be a twenty year Pats run with Brady despite what chiefs fans are hoping for.DeathStar24 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 7:46 am Scared? Reid is closer to the end of his coaching stint than the beginning.

Andy does look a little tired and disinterested out there. He's still a great coach but it feels like he's winding down.Willmark wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 7:53 am No disagreement. I have zero real evidence for this.

No disagreement there. He’s likely going into the HOF when he hangs up the headset.Opoponax50 wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2026 7:58 am Andy does look a little tired and disinterested out there. He's still a great coach but it feels like he's winding down.

That said? Every great NFL coach outside of maybe Lombardi has the game pass them by for a variety of reasons.

I think its a man power problem and not something that can be learned. But yes I get-cha.Viper wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 2:01 pm We simply won’t beat top caliber teams until we get our run game going and learn how to stop the run.
