More wins than last year, Jets post game thread
With the win in New York today. The 2026 Raiders have already passed the win total from last year. We all wanted improvement and now it’s official in the record books,

It's officially time for Jeanty Watch.
Washington got what was there. He got stuffed several times, but when there was any kind of opening, he hit it. If he can learn how to pass black, he's easily our #1.
Jeanty can be good in the pass game, but sooner than later it's going to get predictable.

Stokes alone made our defensive line look bad with his nonsense

What is encouraging is if Kubiak can coach up a top ten offense with this group; how good will they be when he gets the personal he wants?pfish57 wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 1:49 pm Cousins, Bowers & Mayer saved the game...the D is unwatchable...complete ass, and Stokes is leading the band!!

I was ready to give up on them after we made Geno Smith look All-World, combined with the defense not being able to stop the run at all. Good on the Raiders for getting it together enough on defense to hold them off.
The Raiders double-headed tight end offense is absolute dynamite. I don't think I am getting carried away to se that Brock Bowers is better than any tight end we have ever had including Casper, Chester, and Christensen. That one-handed catch for a TD with a guy hanging onto him was amazing.
Our pass rush was non-existent in the first half save for the one sack at the end of the first half. Koonce needs to be sat down. He is too small and not powerful enough to be effective. Our DTs are poor up the middle in terms of pass rush and below average vs. the run.
Linebacker play was good today overall. Dean did not have to do all the work.
Stokes, McCoy and Stokes were all good. Chinn made one regrettable mistake that could have cost them the game but he was fine overthise.
Zuhn at RG -- I will have to go back and re-watch the game, but first impression was it was a good move benching Rogers.

We need a pocket pushing, rushing stopping nose tackle.

Kubiak is an excellent coach who just needs one iron two pieces on offense to contend.
Kirk played excellent. I still want to see Mendoza though.
Defense needs an overhaul. Our best player is overrated and we looked better when he wasn't on the field.
Laube is the real deal at KR and is a great locker room guy.
Hate him all you want but without Jeantys explosive play the Raiders don't score on that drive and lose the game. He also averaged 5ypc no proof that he wouldn't have run well against a bottom 5 defense if he had more carries.
Mike Washington looked more human with more carries, I hope it continues so he can be properly evaluated.

Here is an uncomfortable truth, Washington was in there when the game was on the line. Not Jeanty.

Washington ran for 83 yards. Jeanty hasn't broken 56 since the first game.
Washington needs to be RB1 and Jeanty the 3rd down receiving back/Slot receiver.

Jeanty had that nifty catch. I am not a take away a play guy but he looked quite pedestrian other than that one play.Rabidraider wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 1:56 pm Washington ran for 83 yards. Jeanty hasn't broken 56 since the first game.
