Is it Mendoza time???
We are on a 4 game losing skid, and I think it's time to put KC out to pasture...with that said all this talk of Mendoza getting destroyed is ridiculous...hell KC has somehow come out unscathed after 7 games what makes people think a mobile QB will fare worse...we aren't going anywhere with KC! It's time to get the kid some real game time experience & see what life with Mendoza entails!

And after the 2 yard run we fool them with the always useful screen with the whole D on the line for a loss. Its baffling how its always the same playsWillmark wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 3:20 pm Its maddening that we open every game and then nearly every offensive series with a run up the middle.

14th in yards, 5th in points and 2nd in passing yards. Kubiak is doing a pretty good job with a less than stellar O line and a shortage of elite weapons.

agree 100 pct kubiak is the reason why we r scoring so many points a game, imagine when he actually get the team he want together how many points we will be scoring weeklyJeevo wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 9:07 pm 14th in yards, 5th in points and 2nd in passing yards. add wr1 and 2 add guards that can block and pass protect or open up holes to run thru

defenses are trying to bracket bower and take him away, kubiak is not gonna force feed him if he isnt open, i do wish we would use double te formations more cause mayer is a weapon tooRabidraider wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2026 6:54 am Plus they seem to wait till the 2nd half to realize Bowers is playing.

Why can't Mendoza be brought in for a few plays during the game?
To shake things up a little bit.

I’m firmly and proudly in the I-don’t-know-when-it’s-the-right-time camp. There’s a constant this and that. Looking at the schedule, I don’t think he starts until we come out of the bye. And I don’t think that because he’s not ready, I think that because the offense isn’t.
The only reason Kirk ain’t pickin’ his teeth out of his morning constitution after every game is because he fires that ball out so quick. That’s due to him knowing the offense, and because the Guards suck. There’s also zero f[raiders_icon]cking running game because the Guards suck. If we just lost 4 in a row and the guards didn’t suck, making the running game suck, I think Mendo would be starting the next game.
On a normal football team that has personnel to play the Guard position, the time feels about right to put Mendo in. I’m just not sure Mendo’s mobility with both guard positions unfilled is better (or quicker) than Cousin’s having Coach K’s O down pat. Hell, if we had at least one guard, and one strong side of the offensive line we could keep cheating Mendo in that direction or straight up bootlegging him to that side. I also feel like with Guards it would be impossible for us to have a worse running game.
All that to say, who f[raiders_icon]cking knows, but more than wanting to see Mendo in there as quickly as possible, I’d like to see some trial and error with different names on the O-line. Find out if we have something, anything on the bench, or on the PS for f[raiders_icon]ck sake. Give a dude a half, or a full game. Keep trying, and if something clicks, helping the running game off life support, let’s get our franchise QB and bright future out there for Raider Nation to get excited about.

The obvious time is between now and the trade deadline after the SF game. It would be criminal to not get something back for Cousins.

I really don't see how a 38 yr old QB on what is essentially a rental contract fetches anything in a trade. There's no chance at a comp pick with him since you'd cut him before the funny money kicks in for 2027. And while Kirk is playing fine he's not playing that good to warrant any significant resourcesCruisin with Tooz wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2026 12:54 pm The obvious time is between now and the trade deadline after the SF game. I have read these Cousins trade ideas being floated out there and then I see his balls and the air speed they possess. And then I looked at all the contenders out there and most all of them are sitting pretty at the job. That would mean we would need a significant injury for this to be in play at all. Two games are going to determine that and I think the odds are pretty low to be honest. Especially with the QB protection ratchet the NFL has installed over the years.NoThanksSir wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2026 1:02 pm I really don't see how a 38 yr old QB on what is essentially a rental contract fetches anything in a trade.
