NFL Trade Deadline
Ok maybe this doesn’t need its own thread but the deadline is 5 weeks away. I know the next couple weeks will determine if we are buyers but let’s say we get to 5-2 do we make a move?
I really wish we still had Jakobi here but it sounds like a few guys might be available…
Brian Thomas Jr
Marvin Harrison Jr
Jerry Jeudy
Thoughts?

That was my guy when we had the Maxx picks.RI RAIDER wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 9:23 am I keep reading this trade deadline post and can not help to think how the Ravens f[raiders_icon]cked us. I think we would have drafted Ioane if the trade went through. He is a f[raiders_icon]cking BEAST. I would trade Maxx straight up for him (he is that good). Oh well.

I'd trade a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-rounder, for him with a guarantee contract that would keep him. We are going to spend draft capitol next year on oline anyway with no guarantee it will be a good pick.NoThanksSir wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 9:50 am
for that price you'd think if we made an offer he'd be a Raider. Desperately could have used Nelson.
Protect Mendoza and fix the running game at the same time.

I hope people realize that Nelson is going to Seattle and not to a team like the Raiders for a good reason -- they did not outbid us or offer more than us -- Nelson wants to finish the year with a likely Super Bowl contender. I think Seattle is the leader in the NFC to make it to the Super Bowl. The 49ers are super well-coached but have a huge number of injuries.

Great trade by Seattle. Nelson is one of the best ever. I know they traded for him without talking about a new contract. Smart decision by Seattle. If it does not work out or they can not resign him, they will get a 3rd back in comp. Renting a guy for a 5th rd pick to help with their playoff push is prudent.

when q hit the draft i was banging the table for the raiders to go get him, still love the guy and dont understand why we would not give up more to make that trade happenRI RAIDER wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:25 am Great trade by Seattle. i agree wtf ...giving up future picks for an all pro type player is a no brainer ...draft picks are a 50/50 prospect (bust/boom) a proven player is provenRabidraider wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:10 am I'd trade a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-rounder, for him with a guarantee contract that would keep him. We will probably draft online with a 3rd rounder anyway.

Cus Brady & his boy are morons. That trade is a steal & we could’ve paid Nelsonmstrbass2000 wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:31 am i agree wtf ...giving up future picks for an all pro type player is a no brainer ...draft picks are a 50/50 prospect (bust/boom) a proven player is proven

No, they are not morons. They put together quite a staff overall, drafted like pros and made a team that last year looked chaotic and made it look professional. You do not have any idea how the deal with Seattle went down. It very well could have been a bang band deal where nobody even knew about the discussions. But your fixation with Brady just gave you a clear shot to the bow. Get over it, he ain't going anywhere. And when chubby has his stroke, your boy is going to own the team outright.Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:46 am Cus Brady & his boy are morons. Good and smart move for Seattle! While I'd admit I'd love to have made this deal it is not an absolute that Nelson will resign there. So right now he'll still be a FA in the off-season and we could still sign him. Now, odds are he may likely resign there but who knows. Either way, we need multiple OL people before we are truly going to be successful.

Nope they’re definitely not morons. That 2025 draft is an all timer isn’t it? How did Darnold do again? Isn’t it amazing how you’ve bestowed success onto Tom Brady even through though he’s shown NOTHING.Attyla wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 11:16 am No, they are not morons. Can’t wait until you find about Michael Jordan’s GM experience.
Always love the argument that Mark is a moron yet a genius for putting Brady in charge.
You wannna explain to me why Kraft didn’t make him his partner?
Thanks for depressing me even more. We are stuck with another Mark when he’s not here….”he got 11000 rings! He winner! Derrrrr”

Two things can be true. Great trade for Seattle.
Not the right trade for the Raiders

Darnold did go to the SB and his team won. Can't argue facts. However he also led the league in turnovers and was supported by the best defense in the league, one of the best run games and one of the best wrs in the league. You put Darnold on this team last year and hes Geno Smith and we have the same resultsSloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 11:33 am Nope they’re definitely not morons.
