Someone has got to teach Linderbaum not to have his helmet past the football. I started watching on every play after the penalty call and he has the ball underneath his helmet on every play.
I was glad to see Mendo get into the game even if only for a series. And man it was great to see the zip on the football coming out of a Raider's quarterback. Have to admit that. And Mendoza almost got that 1st down with his running. If he didn't hesitate for brief second he might have made it. Don't know what goes on from here with Mendo playing or not. Probably be the same cousins in unless its a blowout. Which is very possible in 3 of these next 4 games.
Besides the entire raider defense, where was crosby today? Did he do anything, because I didn't see it.
Running game was has been pathetic. Raiders need 4 new offensive linemen next year. and since the ones spytek picked out a couple years ago, can he draft any good ones? Or will raiders have to go after already established o-linemen which means more salary cap used. Miller looked slow, like shit out there today along with everyone else on the line.
So what the hell happened to this team from last weeks very good effort and play against the chiefs to today's absolute shit show and no viewable effort from all areas of the team???

Who were the team captains for this weeks game? I know they change them up every week, the ones this week should never be team leaders again. Bowers did a good job besides the fumble. Hes like the only bright spot right now, even with the fumble loss.

I’m going to choose to be optimistic. God knows why as the Raiders haven’t given us any reason to believe otherwise.Opoponax50 wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 2:19 pm Yep. The best we could realistically hope for is to beat the teams we should beat and steal one here and there. This next 5 game stretch is gonna be f'ing rough though. We'll almost certainly be 4-5 at the end of it.
Overall it looks like 3 more we should win and hopefully grab another. Finishing 7-10 would be a huge improvement.
Yes we are going to have growing pains this year, there is going to be growing pains with the coaches. But if we can clean up the mistakes we had against the chiefs we can play with almost anyone.
Today? Total team breakdown.
Are we world beaters? No, but there is talent on this team. We’re also shooting ourselves in the foot, that isn’t helping.
We want success instantly sure, but we’re pointing forward for the first time decades. Don’t mean there isn’t going to be bumps on the way.

I am very interested in how this team plays going forward as today's game was a huge step backwards.

I agree with this. I hope Washington gets 20 carries against the Bills...ELCAraiderfan wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 2:10 pm I don't care if Washington is up to speed on pass protection or not. hell half, more than half the offensive line is not up to speed on pass protection. No doubt the blueprint is out on shutting Cousins down, and I don't know what the deal is with Washington...he must be in the doghouse for some unknown reason??

I wouldn't call it an illusion. This team has played well. We got our asses kicked today by a better team. There is a reason why the Patriots are the AFC Champs. We very well may get our asses kicked again next week. We are currently running the gauntlet against the best of the AFC. It is a process but there has also been progress, a lot of progress.Attyla wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 2:09 pm OK I will call it. Here is the truth. The first three wins were an illusion. Saints are still at 1 win after 5 games. the dolphins just lost again in their most competitive game of the year and they are winless. I do not see the Chargers winning today even at home.
We beat three bad teams, we played up to a division rival and got stuffed by the Patriots. All we did was win three games against teams we should have beaten. We are still that rebuilding team. We are not ready for prime time. It was fun pretending but the reality is that while we are being coached up and we have some really interesting young talent, that is all we are. We are an also ran who is going to beat some teams but also going to lose more. It is a process.
Sure, we beat some teams we should have beaten. When is the last time we were able to experience that?

Time to make some OLine changes
Sit a few of these underachieving stiffs and see what you got in the following,
Grant Rogers Zuhn Henning
Henning deserves a chance. High pick in CFL draft, preseason vs 2 and 3rd stringers I thought he showed good power and push…
U have to think next 2 games are losses 3 4 heading back east is that when FM becomes the guy ?
It’s evident a veteran WR is needed Mendoza or not.
I would be looking to deal a player for WR at the deadline
Who can help this year and next

I can't even say for certain that the Pats are a better team than us, at least talent wise and especially with their injuries. What they are though is better coached. By a lot. And they showed that today.
What baffled me today was the piss poor tackling and not getting Mike Washington on the field more often. Wasn't a fan of the playcalling either but Klint has been inconsistent with that the first 4 weeks too.
Won't get any easier next week against Josh Allen. We'll likely be seeing Mendoza soon.

Could be but if I have a choice of handing the ball off to Laube or Washington I'm choosing Washington 9 times outta 10.

That sounds great on paper and moral victory speak but the Pats were playing down more than a handful of starters. Their second stringers curb stomped us pretty good so Im not feeling the "they are the AFC champs" bit.Reno Hightower wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 2:54 pm I wouldn't call it an illusion. Having said that, we have won some games that we were supposed to win that we likely botch with last years team so I see improvement. I want to see how we battle back against the Bills. We wont beat the Bills but maybe look tough and respectable again.

I just don't see a reason to be chicken little about this and I am not implying that you are. I am repeating myself but had anyone said we would be 3-2 through our first five games back in August they would have been accused having a problem with narcotics.Xramfan wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 3:07 pm That sounds great on paper and moral victory speak but the Pats were playing down more than a handful of starters. Losing to the Chiefs and Patriots on successive weeks sucks, it totally sucks ass. Seeing McDaniel's smug ass on the sidelines really sucked. as well.
The worst out of this is Jeanty's play. Kubiak is trying to put him in space so he can make plays but his hands absolutely suck.
The worst of it for me is having to listen to my brother in laws shit.
