Chargers are favored by 6.5 points

Over/Under is 43.5

Last game the Chargers got rocked by the Cardinals 26-14. The Raiders beat the Dolphins 27-13 in what could be considered a tune up game.

Porter being out hurts. Hes big and physically gifted and maybe things have finally clicked for him. That's the best combination. Masses is a rookie which can be problematic at cb especially but at least he was toe to toe with Porter all pre-season. It doesnt seem like a big drop-off from good to bum at least.

With Bowers most likely out I will be watching how Bech is used. The Chargers were toasted by McBride and probably will try to take Mayer out. Short quick passes was Arizona’s game plan and that fits us perfectly.

On Masses, I'm very interested to watch the officiating on his coverage. Refs always seem to lay heavy on the ticky tac side of the rule book with rookie defensive backs.

Definitely. He did have 1 holding or interference penalty but was strong while in. Not sure how he was in college, but I wonder if he was very "grabby" there. That can be a problem.
Other than that call his coverage was good.
He's going to have to defend the run today too though and that's been his supposed weakness in his game. Hopefully he's not terrible vs run or that would be bad too. He's not big but just needs to be willing to do it, physical enough and tackle well enough.

I hope we win, and I might watch, but I'm not making it appointment TV. The important thing is that the team around Cousins plays well, as that bodes well for when we ultimately move on to Mendoza.
