Contact powskiThe Bills have a rabid fan base. To the point I think its a cliche to even say it, worded like that.
The Raiders do too, but they might be the only team near ours at that level. They aren't as international a brand though, or even as spread across the country like the Raiders (And even the Cowboys and Bears for example have more cross country fans). I live in Chicago and was born and raised in central IL for example. I was immediately drawn to Raiders as only team I wanted to follow when I became a football fan in 5th grade.
Near a bar I used to watch the games in Chicago is the main bar Bills fans go to watch games. Delilahs.
Id drop in sometimes and can attest to the rabid-ness. Always packed, there early, and fired up. Brutal weather had no affect on attendance either, of course.
I even saw Marv Levy drop by there on a football Sunday. Actually he went there then stopped by the bar I was at with a small entourage. He seemed like a cool guy.
I still hold a grudge against them for that 51-3 playoff beating over the Raiders in the 90s. I remember sitting cross-legged in front of my stove (????!!) and beating my head against it for a long time during the 2nd half of it. I am insane, too.
But I definitely respect that their fan base is so hard-core and dedicated.

The best way for the Bills to get to the Super Bowl and that getting home field advantage….

There are people who still say Mahomes, but I’d take Allen over him in a heartbeat.mstrbass2000 wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 6:55 am josh allen is a warrior and the best qb on earth currently

Mahomes has huge advantages over Allen. He plays for one of the best offensive minds in the NFL. He also plays for a team that caters to every need and whim he desires (rightfully so). KC has routinely upped their receivers and OL year in and year out (they know where their bread is buttered). I never saw that in Buffalo (or even in Baltimore). They have better QB's, but they almost treat them like 2nd class citizens. I think Brady will make sure that Josh gets taken care of. It has already started with DJ Moore. They got lucky. The word is Moore's injury last night is not serious as first thought.

Actually Mahomes has consistently been playing with Kelce and a crappy receiving and RB core once they traded Tyreek Hill. Mahomes ability to play well even with that allowed them to spend more resources building a good defense. Same thing with Brady where he often won without spending huge on offenseRI RAIDER wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 9:31 am Mahomes has huge advantages over Allen. Wether it worked out for them or not, EVERY season KC has drafted, signed, and traded for OL and WR's to help Mahomes (and now signed the top FA RB to boot). There is a laundry list of moves they have made (for to long for me to list). Take a look. They have stopped at nothing giving him help. As far as D, they have routinely traded or chose not to resign numerous starters in order to build the offense. They also have the luxury of having the best DC in the league.

take out Mahomes' salary and the Chiefs have basically a 50/50 split on spending on the offense and defense.RI RAIDER wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 9:49 am Wether it worked out for them or not, EVERY season KC has drafted, signed, and traded for OL and WR's to help Mahomes (and now signed the top FA RB to boot). f[raiders_icon]ck the Bills and their choking asses. I can't believe they didn't can Mcdermott a few years before they did. Their recent playoff runs/success are no different than their 4 straight super bowl losses, just smaller scale. How many times have they choked against KC & then Denver last year on top of it? It's insane how they've come up short year in and out with Allen at QB.
Also I remember the Jason Campbell year where the Raiders were cooking early in the season. Week 3-4 they played at Buffalo & went up 24-0 only to have Fitzpatrick & the Bills come back to win it. Speaking of choking lol. I was not alive to see the 51-3 thrashing but I've read about it. That's thrown in also. Any AFC team I basically dislike. I like watching the Bengals play ball so, perhaps the Bengals I don't outright dislike. Unless they're in competition against the Raiders for something

josh has routinely played with less on offense then anyone, the best wr he ever had was steph diggs after that its been crap for the most part, buffalo almost screwed the pooch on james cook recently too but josh stepped in and said a few words, mcdermott (sp) i thought mismanaged the team and was shitty on clock he's lucky josh bailed him out for yearsDanKD wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 9:38 am Actually Mahomes has consistently been playing with Kelce and a crappy receiving and RB core once they traded Tyreek Hill. you would have to take out chris jones then too, kc let their starting cbs go last yr by trading off one cb and letting one walk...spags has done an excellent job drawing up defense for kcAttyla wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 9:55 am take out Mahomes' salary and the Chiefs have basically a 50/50 split on spending on the offense and defense.

Its not just cap spending but draft resources as well.
Over the past five drafts the Chiefs have used 11 day 1/2 picks on defense and 6 on offense. So they have invested almost twice as much early draft resources on defense.

they have to invest in defense, they always trade or let their defensive players walk witht he exception of chris jones whom forced em to pay him cause he was top 2 dt in the leagueDanKD wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 11:22 am Its not just cap spending but draft resources as well.

Also, KC spending more cap on D is a fallacy. Cap spending for the Chiefs have gone predominately to their offense (almost 60%). This is after Mahomes's cap FRIENDLY deal of $35 million.
