Dolphins vs Raiders In-Game Thread Week #1
Well, the 2026 NFL season is finally here.
We have practically a new coaching staff. Two new QB's, free agent signings, draft picks.
Do we have something to look forward to this season?
What is it going to take to get a win over Miami?

The Dolphins aren't great, but it's awesome to see a competent team with good coaching and offensive scheme. Kubiak is the real deal.
Cousins looks old out there. I think we'll see Mendoza sooner than later

Would trade Cousins tonight if the offer was right
S/T shout out to Coby White - and AJ is at least Jefferson on the Raiders Mt Puntmore (which is filling up)
Can't think of a single newcomer who appeared deficient/problematic - anyone?
Laube abides
WR by middling committee until Bowers
Run Game.

First Raider game in while without some weird breakdown in the teams play. To early to start talking Super Bowl?

Not going to go back through all the pages but I don't recall ever, a Raider coach having the two back up quarterbacks on the sideline with there helmets on listening to the play calls and then calling them out on there wrist bands while the coach was there.

I would only add I saw multiple players from the bench come in and contribute as well. I saw Chris Myarick out there from the practice squad as well.Bowl Cut Mark Davis wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2026 5:00 pm Would trade Cousins tonight if the offer was right

Yeah, Cousins tapped into to his inner Geno Smith. But, he did have three TD's.

Thanks. Any pressure or just another bonehead INT like his first one?

He trusted his arm too much. Tried to fit it into tight coverage. Which I'm pretty sure was doubled. Maybe even tripled16 to 88 wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2026 5:12 pm Thanks. Any pressure or just another bonehead INT like his first one?

Okay, no worries then. As long as it wasn't quadruple coverage.vtraider wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2026 5:15 pm He trusted his arm too much. Tried to fit it into tight coverage. Which I'm pretty sure was doubled. Maybe even tripled

It was basically the play from preseason where Mendoza zipped it into bech in between 3 defenders. But Kirk doesn't have that arm strength anymore16 to 88 wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2026 5:12 pm Thanks. Any pressure or just another bonehead INT like his first one?

Im happy with the win, it only gets tougher from here though. Lets not forget we have a tough schedule. We won the game we were supposed to win though, so thats good news for once. We also were never nail biting this game, that makes a win more fun.
