Hopefully this means he never plays another down in the NFL, some “rumors” suggested he might. Doesn’t deserve another snap. Can he change and earn forgiveness? Maybe. Does he deserve to make millions in the NFl again? f[raiders_icon]ck no.

What a piece of shit comment from a self absorbed disgusting person. He obviously doesn't give a damn about the woman and her pet that he killed because of his irresponsible actions. All he cares about is getting out without paying anything and collecting a check from some pos NFL team. That comment he made says everything, he should get another 10 years just for that. I'd give him 20+ more years.tatalalicious wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2026 9:52 am "Got me locked up, wont let me out"....
One stupid selfish decision made in a single moment resulted in that young woman's horrible death, and effectively ended Rugg's budding career. He should feel lucky he only got 10 years max.

You really think that is a quote from Ruggs?ELCAraiderfan wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2026 5:34 pm What a piece of shit comment from a self absorbed disgusting person. Just a shame he is even able to be eligible to live never mind parole
He choose to drink & drive knowing he could kill someone so should be rotting i prison for the rest of his life at the very least
I’m sorry but the law needs to make drink driving premeditated, if you make a decision to drive somewhere then in turn make a decision to drink then you know the consequences if you get behind the wheel & there was no impairment of judgement because of alcohol
Let’s hope he rots for eternity

I will admit to driving drunk a couple of times when I was in high school. But I took the wheel away from friends who were smashed. And I drove like a little old lady to make sure I got us home. I wanted to see life down the road and realized that recklessness was dumb. I knew my limits and booze did not make me think I was invulnerable. But I did drive drunk. One of my friends hit I think it was four parked cars driving drunk in college. They caught up to him the next day. He didn’t suffer any consequences however as his father, a doctor, somehow got him out of it. No arrest.

I would say 95% of us are in the same place, whether we admit it or not. I no longer drive if I have been drinking but.... I have done it in the past. As they say.... with age comes wisdom.....hopefully?RunOverByHubbard wrote: Sun Jun 14, 2026 7:42 am I will admit to driving drunk a couple of times when I was in high school. I drove drunk a ton back in the day. I also never drove 150 mph while doing it. I hit the cruise control at whatever posted speed it was and always took back roads, alleys or side streets. I was "smart" about it. I always wondered why people took main roads right into cop centralDr Death wrote: Sun Jun 14, 2026 10:26 am I would say 95% of us are in the same place, whether we admit it or not. ...and they had one of the following: burned out tail light, expired license plate, driving w/out lights on, making illegal lane changes, etc.Hellbound wrote: Sun Jun 14, 2026 2:24 pm I drove drunk a ton back in the day. For sure. This doesn't absolve us from the decision but I'm sure most of us didn't have the luxury of Uber or Lyft in our day. I can only speak from my experience but I wasn't in the best of shape to realize I probably could have called the old man to come get me.Dr Death wrote: Sun Jun 14, 2026 10:26 am I would say 95% of us are in the same place, whether we admit it or not. Again, it’s a crime that could have been prevented
Far as Ruggs, he’s a scumbag, had the world and pissed it away. F#k him… sad part is alcohol for some reason is tolerated by society or at least by the politicians and Courts..
Only 10 f’in years is a crime in itself !

Im glad nothing happened. I've certainly been drunk plenty of times but not once driven. Its selfish and wrong, with no wiggle room. Seriously just make a plan, call an uber, etc...raider_kin wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 5:49 pm I drove so drunk a few times I don't even remember driving home. Edit to add, Im not condeming anyone who has made a bad decision about driving intoxicated but it needs to be labeled a bad decision that is strived to not repeat, not made light of or brag about it.
