No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

Definitely a bold move and for me a head scratcher at that at so many levels but seeing they have been successful for quite sometime it's kinda sorta difficult to question them. Thing is, just because they have had past success I have to wonder if they have gone a bridge to far with all there wheeling dealing? I never thought for a moment that Simpson would fall out of the first round with so many QB hungry teams and stated on more then a few occasions the rams where one of them as Stafford might only have a year left in the tank so I can get behind drafting him, I get it.DanKD wrote: Mon Jun 01, 2026 2:15 pm It was the cocky move. They think they are the best in the biz and will be right back to competing for the superbowl with Simpson after Stafford is done.
Does anybody reasonably believe the rams are winning a SB with Simpson come this season? I sure don't as they have a SB championship QB on the team that was in need of a few more players to perhaps put them in the bowl and Simpson doesn't fill that void. They added a TE in the 2nd and an OL in the 3rd then added a 30 year old Myles Garrett to the team but had to trade away Verse and 3 picks. Not sure how that is going to help Simpson in the future?
If they win the bowl with Stafford this year and have Simpson up and running next year they will be looking like geniuses. But if they end up winning a bunch of games only to bow out in the playoffs now you have a 31 year old DE who has played 10 years in this league and no first round pick or 3rd round pick next year and your 2nd rounder would be at the bottom that round. I thought the idea was to stock pile draft picks and build around your young future QB? Not sure how a 31 year old DE will be helping Simpson out next year. And of course there will be teams picking free agents off there roster as well.

Definitely agree that both those teams aren't having the season they had last year. Don't see the pats winning a SB either and giving up a first for what will be a 29 year old receiver with a ton of milage on him seems a bit desperate.Goodtimes333 wrote: Mon Jun 01, 2026 9:15 pm When teams get butt f[raiders_icon]cked in the Bowl they usually have a lingering hangover into the next season. Its possible they don't, but it's more likely they do. Denver & New England are taking a step back from last year's records regardless imo

Just my opinion but, there is no outside or independent Karma — it is self-inflicted.

Totally. The entropy in the Universe doing its thing. But-- sometimes we do bring it on ourselves, the shit that is. But again, self-inflicted. Or just plain unlucky at times. There is a movie about a woman whose life is totally changed if she gets on a subway train or just misses it. Looked it up: "Sliding Doors" (1998).Xramfan wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2026 8:16 am In the 80`s we wrapped up this philosophy as, "Shit happens"

It's no secret who wanted to trade for him. The same guy on here that thought AJ Brown could be had for a 3rd round pick lol.raider_kin wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2026 1:58 pm Someone here wanted to trade for him?

Shit Happens means you could do nothing wrong and you know... shit happens.
Bad karma coming back means you did something to deserve that.
Bonus:
PC, morals and manners are tightly related. The who the why and the what.
Double Bonus:
"I'm one of those people that tell you what I think" and down that line of direct conversation... often are throwing you a bone telling you they might just be an asshole. Patience and filtering are virtues.
Thank you and see you all on the next episode of Ms. Manners.

Been busy with work and posting on my Blazers board about Tightwad Tom but it’s nice to see everyone getting along over here.
