Predict the 2026 record - your realistic expectations
With Mendoza needing time to adjust, an unproven O line and what I consider average receivers, I’m not really expecting to light it up on offense.
Defensively, we should be at least middle of the pack. That should go a long ways in helping stack wins.
Having said that, we are improved across the board yet still more work to do. I would predict we have 6 wins this year, double what we had last year. If Pete can manage 3 last year, I have faith with a better coaching staff we can do better. If we can beat the teams we’re supposed to plus staying close in the 4th quarter against better talent, we have a punchers chance in some of those.
Personally, at least another year or two to make some real noise if we nail FA and the draft.

All are on their last legs. Diggs and Deebo still think they are stars.Deebo had 1 huge season. If we had to take one Allen makes the most sense to me.mstrbass2000 wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 6:35 pm keenan allen, stephon diggs, deebo samuel r still available each one brings a different skill set

No he wouldn't have. Rich was one of the best quarterbacks in Raiders history, but Rich did not tell whomever changed the Raiders Super Bowl gameplan from running the f[raiders_icon]cking ball down the bucs throats, which would have won the Raiders their 4 Lombardi trophy. I wish he would have told them all "f[raiders_icon]ck You I'm going to call plays that are going to win us this game. Let's see if any of you coaching motherf[raiders_icon]ckers has guts enough to replace me at QB during the super bowl."Toast wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 6:58 pm I am by no means a Geno Smith apologist but he was not placed into a situation that allowed him to be successful. Could a better QB have mitigated the offensive line deficiencies and Chip Kelly's helter skelter Chico you're the bottle cap, Jack you're the popsicle stick play calling? I dunno.
Rich Gannon probably would have lost his shit and took control of the offense.
I am just glad we are done with those hacks.
Of course that pre supposes that Gannon would have been smart enough to know that running the ball at the bucs with our massive Oline was the key to victory in that super bowl.

Rich did not have Barret Robbins at center; Robbins was a 330 lbs center who was an all world running center….his backup who played in the Super Bowl was like a 270 to 280 lbs ……the raiders could have tried running the ball but I don’t think that would have worked without Robbins playing; just my opinionELCAraiderfan wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 11:21 pm No he wouldn't have. If Gannon was smart enough to call running plays, he’d be smart enough to not stick to running it up the gut.SuperRaider wrote: Sat May 09, 2026 12:25 am Rich did not have Barret Robbins at center; Robbins was a 330 lbs center who was an all world running center….his backup who played in the Super Bowl was like a 270 to 280 lbs ……the raiders could have tried running the ball but I don’t think that would have worked without Robbins playing; just my opinion

Kelce was nowhere the tight end Brock Bowers is.raidersince63 wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 2:28 pm It may well have happened before, but I can't remember anyone ever shutting down Bowers...the guy is just that damned good. Kinda reminds me of Kelce when he was in his prime, because it seemed that with Mahomes delivering the ball, no one could shut him down either and if you think about it, the rest of their receivers really were not great at all...because they didn't have to be.
I look at it as being a "glass is half full" situation...Do we have the best receiving corps in the NFL? No...but collectively, including Bowers, we're certainly not the worst either.

No, not if you want to end up with a full glass.

I think that depends on who you ask and what you base it on...Kelce has had a full career with 3 SBs and numerous awards, and will likely be a shoo-in for the HOF...Bowers has played 2 seasons, and may very well end up even better than Kelce but he's simply not there yet.
FWIW, I'm in Georgia and watched every game at UGA that Bowers played in so I'm a huge fan...and I am not at all a fan of Kelce, in fact, I cannot stand him or his GF.

lol...it's really nothing, but if you have 8oz of water in a 16 oz glass, the glass can be viewed as either 1/2 empty or 1/2 full. But if you reduce the size of the glass by 1/2, you then end up with a full glass.
Silly I know, I just threw it out there.

I don’t like the guy (Kelce) but he is up there as one of best TE to play the game; right now he has lost a step at the age of 35, I think…. But when Kelce was in his prime he was pretty much unstoppable….
I agree that we can say Bowers is better than Kelce today because of Kelce age….think we gotta come back in 10 years and see how Bowers career progress before we start comparing Kelce vs Bower stat

Diggs had 2 huge games and 10 games under 75 yards receiving. He is not worth the headache IMOmstrbass2000 wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 7:18 pm allen is a great route runner who knows how to get open...would definitely help fernando and bowers
