Honestly just donate to your local church. The level which most common folks donate could make a way bigger impact if you just shift the donation directly to your community instead of having rich people take their cut. If you're donating a few hundred bucks a year, maybe your church has a tricky tray or something else you can sponsor. You will actually see the good your charity offers.

I'm personally not religious, I don't go to mass. But I can tell you for sure the church around the block from my house has fed more homeless people than many of these national charities. I see it every Saturday morning and have offered more than once to scoop food on plates.

I will pushback on the idea of "donating" to this website. I think the internet has distorted the concept entirely. I encourage folks to pay their worth because you are getting something when you participate here. Donating and charity means helping people that need it. You should pitch in to Raiderstation because you spend more time here than you do most other places. And once you're done, you should donate not just money or cans of food but your time to your local church.

My wife just sponsored some kid, she used to many years ago. She's in and out of trust on these things, I asked why now, "we have the money and I just feel good doing it", okay.

I'm in the process of having her drop that and there is a needy family we know as people are getting laid off with a newborn, to donate to them instead. That way we know 100% goes there and they are good people.

Not sure why you came to that conclusion but the one by my house has been great utility for being charitable. Your opinion on the religion doesn't matter when you're helping folks who need it. I'm an atheist and they know it, but I still help out.

As JRaider stated Corleone has maintained this site for a long time, nice to see Soul get the members attention in respect to donating.

A unwise man once said if you don't have Silver Dollars you can't lose them.

Big kudos to those who contribute to the various charities. Sometimes I feel selfish contributing
to charities cuz it makes me feel to dam good.

I have my reasons, but this is not the kind of discussion/subject I care to get into.

Hey man, a bunch of Raider fans talkin’ charity may go against the mainstream grain of what we’re all supposed to be, but fuckin’ kudos, and a drink of your choice on me.

So, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's contributed, including one anonymous donor, who is well known in the Raiders org, and I'm still blown away this person knows about us and contributed to the site, I will keep it private, but we all appreciate where this org is headed and really feel the sky is the limit, can't think of a time when I was more optimistic about this team, so huge thank you to the Raiders org, as well as all of you at Raiderstation.

An update on where your donation is going, server costs of course, but because of so many generous users (we really have the best users in the world) I'm commissioning a feature which will be released within the coming weeks, definitely before this season, and it'll allow you to use your points (silver dollars) on something that I think will be fun. Stay tuned.

I’m not gonna assume that renting a Raiderette immediately grants one the green light to screw her. YMMV.
