Comical Hemby was invited to the combine. Undrafted. Black (who I would have liked) went in the third and wasn’t invited

Sometimes, Combine invites are based on someone owing someone else a favor, etc.Raidernation1979 wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 4:54 pm Comical Hemby was invited to the combine. Undrafted. Black (who I would have liked) went in the third and wasn’t invited

GARY SMITH III DT UCLA
HEIGHT: 6-1 (8%*)
WEIGHT: 319 (80%*)
HANDS: 9 3/4 (42%*)
ARM: 32 1/2 (36%*)
SPAN: 80 6/8 (66%*)
FORTY: 5.20 (O) (29%*)
SHUT: 5.16 (P) (1%*)
VERT: 28 (C) (33%*)
3CONE: 8.48 (P) (1%*)
BENCH: 25 (P) (34%*)
Report Summary
Gary Smith III's cleanest path is as an early-down anchor with interior rush upside. The interior value plays best when he can pair block control with real pocket push, keeping him useful on both early downs and passing situations. The first thing you buy is first-contact stress, rush sequencing, and front-aligned deployment, then gets stronger once lighter-footed movement shows up. The deciding piece is how reliably the rush gets to a second answer once the first move is stalled.

ROMAN HEMBY RB INDIANA
HEIGHT: 6-0 (76%*)
WEIGHT: 207 (32%*)
HANDS: 9 1/2 (64%*)
ARM: 31 (51%*)
SPAN: 75 4/8 (69%*)
FORTY: 4.54 (P) (57%*)
SHUT: 4.52 (P) (5%*)
10YD: 1.62 (P) (33%*)
VERT: 35.5 (P) (63%*)
BROAD: 125 (P) (88%*)
BENCH: 15 (P) (17%*)
SCOUTING REPORT: SUMMARY
Hemby grades out as a complementary back in a committee approach at the next level. His speed and receiving ability make him an intriguing third-down option, but he'll need to improve in pass protection to secure that role immediately.
Teams employing zone-heavy run schemes will likely value Hemby's vision and one-cut ability. His explosiveness and receiving skills could make him a valuable change-of-pace back in offenses that prioritize getting playmakers in space.
While Hemby may not profile as a traditional lead back, his versatility and big-play potential could make him a mid-round target for teams looking to add dynamism to their backfield. His youth and relatively low college workload suggest there may be untapped potential for growth at the next level.

JACOB CLARK QB MISSOURI STATE
Height: 6-5
Weight: 220
Age: 25 years old (turning 26 in November 2026)
Scouting Report
Jacob Clark took the path less traveled in his college football experience. A three-star recruit out of high school in 2019, Clark committed to Minnesota but didn't play meaningful snaps until he transferred to Missouri State, where he began as the backup in 2022. In 2023, he looked primed to be the starter, but suffered a season-ending injury after just four games. After five years of waiting and injuries, he was finally the starter for 2024 and 2025, and is the Missouri State record holder for yards and touchdowns in a season. Clark was a participant in the American Bowl All-Star event.
Clark is a big-game hunter at quarterback. He likes to take deep shots down the field, and they often work out for him against a lower level of competition. He has the flexibility to flip his hips when rolling to his left to get velocity behind the ball, and often fools defenders with a nifty play-action fake. His arm strength is good, not great, but he will try to make great throws anyway, leading to turnovers. He was big, strong, and mobile enough to get away with some bad habits in the pocket and in his progressions in college.
Rundown
Clark is a toolsy, small-school prospect who will look to make a team as their third quarterback, possibly as a project.
