Thought overall he looked phenomenal tbh. No one has a perfect Pro Day but his was darn close. Has all the tools to succeed and I think Bowers will especially love him being his QB. Just makes me more excited to see him in Black and SIlver tbh.

McAfee and his buddies are going to relentlessly troll Orlovsky forever, and he'll be there for it as long as he gets paid.

Yeah, too low on the totem pole to say “no” to an appearance. Looks bad though. This created such a stir that I think he’ll become too much of an embarrassment to book on any show that doesn’t want to make fun of him. Maybe a few stints on a Cur-level podcast, then just fades away. That’s what he gets for bein’ a puppet for his agent.chucker wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 1:53 pm McAfee and his buddies are going to relentlessly troll Orlovsky forever, and he'll be there for it as long as he gets paid.
Also, Let’s f[raiders_icon]cking Go Mendo!!! Stud. Love the command of the entire event. Sauntered up to the football like he was part Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and John Wayne. I don’t think there’s a FA out there that can beat him out of a Week 1 start. They’d all be learning Coach K’s offense too. He’s about to be the 1st franchise quarterback we’ve drafted since Stabler in 1968.

We all know the failure rate of 1st round QB's are high.
But Jesus, let us have some hope with Mendoza for a change...

I’d be willing to bet if you could break it down the failure rate of guys with all the physical tools, plus mental tools, plus desire to be great (hardest to measure but we’ve seen what he does to prepare for meeting people) is a very low failure rate.Rabidraider wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 8:15 pm We all know the failure rate of 1st round QB's are high.

Most failures come from trying to fix a major part of someone’s game or lack of desire to be the best where they somehow think the physical gifts alone will work

Some of those QB's were real cluster f[raiders_icon]cks like Johnny Football, Ryan Leaf etc.

There's also a difference between being a failure and being Tom Brady. I feel confident Mendoza will at least be good but is he going to be good enough to make us a regular super bowl contender? I hope so but we dont know. I sure as heck will love seeing him try.
