Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

I know we don’t have much cap left but we can create more pretty easy if we needed to. I just don’t see a player that fits what we’re trying to do left out there worth making a move for atm. I can see us trying to bring in someone a little later on when price drops a bit.
Off topic, but I can’t wait for the draft. That time of year where the football cravings come on strong for me. We’ve pretty much beat up every player, position, coach and prediction we can. What’s different this year is we have some real deserved optimism.

This is probably the best case scenario for a 'vet QB', always liked Flacco. That and he can still ball. I like his demenor for Mendoza

It would be nice dress remaining needs with rookie contracts. There can be significant value with undrafted free agents as well. I am also pumped up for the draft. This is a big one for us.Viper wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 8:35 am I know we don’t have much cap left but we can create more pretty easy if we needed to. I'd much rather have Flacco than Cousins. Think he would be a much better mentor and still has some juice left in his arm. Honestly think hes just a better Qb periodGoodtimes333 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 10:06 am https://www.thebiglead.com/raiders-link ... o-mendoza/

I'd like to see them bring in Andrew Billings. Proven nose tackle. 31, 6'1 340 brick shithouse boulder over the ball. Already has been a Raider and spent the blast two years with the Bears. Doesn't stop you from drafting another NT (need two anyway IMO) and gives you a good proven veteran at a key spot

Hire the vet QB (Flacco, Cousins, etc.) as a personal coach/shadow for Mendoza. Have them dress up as a player every day (red shirt and all). Pay them like they are a player without eating cap. If Mendoza is not ready, its a temporary lost cause until he is. Play Aidan (who I do not like) and call it a day.

Agreed, you draft a kid to learn from the vet.Goodtimes333 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 11:43 pm I'd like to see them bring in Andrew Billings. Clearing the way for Geno. If anyone can fix a QB, could be Reid.

Insurance in case Mahomes isn't ready to go game 1. Serviceable if you gameplan for his skillset, and doesn't cost much money. That's actually a decent move for them.

Justin Fields is not a NFL QB. Not even Andy Reid can fix that shit.

Agree. I don’t know why DT has been ignored so far. I really wanted Tonga &, Rankins. & still draft one of McDonald, Hunter, Banks or, Woods (if available).Goodtimes333 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 11:43 pm I'd like to see them bring in Andrew Billings. Billings has always been a player I liked &, he’s played well. He’d be a perfect pickup for this team. I’d even add Reader as well. Gotta create a good rotation to keep them fresh. Then still draft one of the above to learn from them &, ease them into their role.
Donte Corleone or, D.Orange on day three would be great too.
