2026 Draft - Raiders & all teams (April 23-25)
Obvious Mendoza #1 no consideration of trading that pick.
But who you got picks 2 - 4 thats going to help Mendoza.
#2 Raiders should be able to select WR Chris Bell or WR KC Concepcion with our early 2nd.
#3 I forget who it was, but someone here mentioned that the best pure dominant RT coming out of college could be got in the 3rd. And stated hes played his whole career at RT, and not being moved around the line.
Sounds like solid gets
Id hope the rest of the draft is building the trenches, with maybe 1 DB in there
Who else you like ?

Sure, but I'm not doing that within our first 4 rounds.Attyla wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:47 am Converting a center to guard works. The advantage is, one could learn to backup Linderbaum until his contract is up and then hopefully slot in at center

...in my mind, with the questions there, and with millers struggles to stay healthy at lt, and the draft deep in d tackles, I am hoping they see something they like at tackle and he is there. ...I can't see how that can't be a priority, and i'm not sure how ready anyone would be taken later that at that pick, or at the latest, with our 2nd rounder.RickRyb wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:53 am Can one of the players currently on the roster be moved to the RT position? Rogers. Grant. Can Glaze be the RT now that there is a competent coaching staff?

Yep, have to have a plan for Miller given his recent injury history.WNYRAIDER wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:12 am ...in my mind, with the questions there, and with millers struggles to stay healthy at lt, and the draft deep in d tackles, I am hoping they see something they like at tackle and he is there. ...I can't see how that can't be a priority, and i'm not sure how ready anyone would be taken later that at that pick, or at the latest, with our 2nd rounder.

My opinion, groom Grant for that. 2nd year guy, 3rd round pick. Potential is there.raider_kin wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:14 am Yep, have to have a plan for Miller given his recent injury history.

DJ Glaze was the primary starter at right tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2025 NFL season.RickRyb wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:53 am Can one of the players currently on the roster be moved to the RT position? Rogers. Grant. Can Glaze be the RT now that there is a competent coaching staff?

After taking over the role in Week 3 of the previous season (2024) following an injury to Thayer Munford Jr., Glaze secured the starting position and maintained it throughout the 2025 season.
DJ Glaze 2025 Performance Summary
Durability:
Glaze was a consistent presence on a frequently injured line, playing 992 offensive snaps (roughly 99.9% of the team's total) across all 17 games.
Pass Protection: He struggled as a pass blocker, allowing 10 sacks, which ranked among the most allowed by any tackle in the league (88th out of 89 qualified tackles).
Run Blocking: His run-blocking was also inconsistent, finishing with a 48.8 grade entering the final stretch of the season, which placed him in the bottom 10 at his position.
Discipline: He improved his discipline compared to his rookie year, recording only 5 penalties for 16 yards throughout the 2025 season.

DJ Glaze is listed at 6'4" and 331 lbs with a 34 7/8-inch arms and a nearly seven-foot wingspan, which are considered high-end length measurements for an NFL offensive tackle.
The Case for Zone Scheme
This is widely considered his "natural" fit due to his specific athletic traits:
Elite Length: His 34 7/8-inch arms allow him to engage defenders early in lateral movements, which is crucial for the "reach blocks" required in outside zone runs.
Lateral Agility: He excelled in a scheme that asked him to move horizontally. He is praised for his "smooth feet" and ability to climb to the second level to find linebackers in space
The Challenge with Power/Gap Schemes
While he has the 331 lb frame to play in a Power scheme, there are some limitations:
Functional Strength:
Critics often point out that he lacks "knock-back power." In a pure Power/Gap scheme, where the goal is to drive a defender straight back, he can sometimes get stalemated by more powerful bull-rushers.
Leverage Issues: Because he is 6'4", he has a lower center of gravity than some massive 6'7" tackles, which should help with leverage, but he hasn't yet shown the consistent "pop" at the point of attack to be considered an elite Power blocker.
Performance Against Speed Rushers
Technical Struggle:
Analysts and scouts noted a tendency for Glaze to "over-set" against speed rushers.
By overcompensating for an opponent's outside speed, he frequently left the inside lane open, allowing defenders to counter with quick inside moves.
Footwork Limitations: While he has elite arm length to stall rushers, his middling foot quickness and "below-average athletic ability" made it difficult for him to mirror elite, twitchy edge rushers on an island.
Difficulty Without Initial Contact: Glaze is most effective when he can establish an early "punch" to disrupt a rusher's rhythm.
Against pure speed rushers who can avoid that initial contact, he often struggled to recover his positioning.

...without seeing how it unfolds, my preference would be the best o tackle fit at 14, and the best d tackle fit with our early 2nd rounder. ...fortify those lines.....
....and perhaps the best corner we can get with our 3rd...

Maybe we keep the Bulldogs vibes going and go Freeling & Miller back to back 1st (14) & 2nd?

It looks like no elite NT this year. Cant rely on Glaze. Gotta take Miller or Iheanachor in the 2nd. Probably should take an OG in the 3rd to compete with Rogers. In the 4th I think we go FS, CB and RB. In the 5th can take Allar. Kicker in the 6th.

I am not touching Allar. I am drafting one QB in this draft and using draft capital to move around in the draft, certainly try to get back into the third round if possible.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 9:27 pm It looks like no elite NT this year. I do like the strategy of taking multiple QB's if a quality one falls to us in the later rounds.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 9:27 pm It looks like no elite NT this year. They are tradable commodities, even more so now in a QB starved league. Dallas selected Steve Walsh in the supplemental draft after they drafted Aikman and parlayed that pick for 1st and 3rd in the 91 draft as well as a 2nd in 1992. Not to mention that they provide depth.
Green Bay was always drafting QB's in even during Favre's prime. They acquired a lot of draft capital developing and trading QB's such as Mark Brunell and Matt Hasselbeck.

Yea, I'm in favor of drafting a QB in the latter rounds. This team has neglected the position for too long.

Assuming they keep O'Connell and that appears to be the case at this point, we need to bring in a vet who is actually decent to assist Mendoza's development which would mean we are not going to have room for a second drafted QBBoKnows81 wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 5:16 am Yea, I'm in favor of drafting a QB in the latter rounds.
