No one else will offer Linderbaum what we did. He'd be making $9M more than the next highest paid IOL. Yeah, He'll sign.chucker wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:26 am We're honoring our deals...... I'm not concerned with that. I think the question was whether Linderbaum would honor it. I would hope so - and agents have a lot to lose if they don't honor a deal made prior to the start of the league year so I suspect that the Linderbaum contract will get finalized today.

We are still going to trade him. No way he plays for us again.haji81872 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:30 am With the signings we made we also be able to take Max out of the rotation more and give him rest.

A trade can still be made. But Maxx can also realize that we were right for shutting him down and are a way better team than we were 5 days ago.
I was referring to the Ravens end. Its a FAR better move for them and its not even close.

...I agree, and I'll bet Maxx is 'secretly' relieved after seeing what has happened with both teams since, and if he be a part of it, if we do not find another acceptable deal, I think that the biggest initial bummer will be having to see that # 14, and all of our hopes and dreams for it, evaporatechucker wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:29 am I know a lot of people are on the "get whatever you can in trade" plan, but I say just keep Maxx and let him wreak havoc with a better cast of supporting characters. If another huge trade offer comes along before the season or at the deadline, then you listen. If not, just be a better team with Maxx. Losing this trade is not a major loss.

It's a whole different coaching staff than the one who sat him. And so many new toys on D. I think he will. And I doubt Spytek will take less for him because of the Ravens debacle. At least he shouldn't.Attyla wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:31 am We are still going to trade him. No way he plays for us again.
...And wouldn't it be funny, being it was a Cowboys MD who failed his physical, if Jerry comes back and ups his offer?

...yeah, I would bet he would take less with the ravens, but it would still not be enough to fit into their budget. ...i'll also bet that trey h having so limited interest this far in, at the numbers he wanted, was a consideration for them, and that that route would obviously allow them to keep their picks....it is still bullsh .... for a team to do that when there are plenty of other suitors, who have since spent themselves out of consideration.
...either way, here we are....

But then trading partners have dwindled significantly nor do I envisage we can get a similar haul of two 1st's.Attyla wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:31 am We are still going to trade him. No way he plays for us again.
I can't envisage us accepting much less so this swings very much back in favour of retaining an elite talent here, hope his head is in the game and we tailor our Draft needs accordingly.

I think the picks plus the cap space is the better situation for the Raiders but that ain’t happening anymore. I guess it’s back to where it was before the “deal”, trade him if it makes sense but don’t trade him just to do it.

I have no doubt what happened lowers his value. We will end up with less now. But I also doubt we keep him. He wanted to be a Raider for his career, but us dealing him tells him that he was a commodity and not family. That damaged the relationship. Only question is, did he request a trade or did we just do a deal. Either way, we sealed his fate. I see him gone within daysSpurs Raider wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:40 am But then trading partners have dwindled significantly nor do I envisage we can get a similar haul of two 1st's.

With Maxx back, all we need is a nose tackle and the D line could be special.

I'm just glad we have our own picks. Extra firsts would have been nice, but we can absolutely build a long term winner with Maxx entering his golden years. The question with him was always can he buy into a rebuild. We're a significantly better team than we were 5 days ago when we traded him.Jeevo wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:42 am I think the picks plus the cap space is the better situation for the Raiders but that ain’t happening anymore. I don’t think they want him back. They traded him for a reason and it wasn’t medical. I think they tired of his passive aggressive bullshit and let him go. They got better, younger and cheaper trading him and a successful FA season. He can take his I gotta play every snap to get a lousy 10 sacks and shitty podcast elsewhere.

Dont know about that, I think its at best a wash, the 14th pick was always a weird pick in this years draft. Hendricks is a lesser/older player than Maxx with injuries as well. The Raiders get back Crosby with a better attitude towards the idea of staying with the Raiders, he and his agent tried to force their way out ( I think they were behind that Silver article) and were humbled. The Raiders get an asset back that they can always trade in the future once he healed.RI RAIDER wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:32 am I was referring to the Ravens end. Life happens sometimes and you can't control everything. The Ravens f[raiders_icon]cked the Raiders over - no doubt. But the Raiders have to pivot and do what's best for the team. I don't think trading Maxx for a discount is what's best.
