Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

...yep,everyone is saying this draft is deep in d tackles, so while I I would be less likely to think we would pull the trigger on that with our 2nd 1st rounder, I could see it maybe with one of the next 2-3 picksGoodTimeCharlie wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 5:50 pm Yeah, I’d love to have a DT/NT that kicks ass…and I hope we’re able to draft one. For the moment this team is as calm as a Hindu cow. Not a ripple on the water. It’s as clean a slate as a roster gets, and the guy we know is coming is as squeaky-clean and perfectly self-mobilized as a player can be.
We’ve been waiting for-f’n-ever.

Out of curiosity. (no idea where to put it) Wondering if we might bag our first record before the season even starts.

He just rejoined McDaniel, who was his coach with the Dolphins. I don't think it had anything to do with the Raiders, he probably just liked McDaniel as a coach and got good money to follow him to the Chargers.raider_kin wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 6:41 pm I guess dude didn't want to have anything to do with the Raiders, in fact sign with their rivals.

Las Vegas Raiders
Record: 3-14
Cap Space: $88.1 million
Offensive PFF Grade: 64.4 (30th)
Defensive PFF Grade: 49.2 (32nd)
Team Needs: QB, WR, G, T, DI, LB, CB
What Went Right?
While some have criticized the early draft selection of running back Ashton Jeanty, citing a lack of massive production, he ended up being an exceedingly talented runner held back by a subpar offensive line. The Raiders finished 31st in yards before contact on designed runs, leaving Jeanty to make things happen while often taking first contact behind the line of scrimmage. As a result, the rookie finished as one of five backs with at least 100 carries to record over 80% of their rushing yardage after contact.
What Went Wrong?
Las Vegas averaged just 4.4 yards per play (30th in the NFL) in 2025. Explosive plays were nearly non-existent in both the passing (65, 31st) and running (31, 32nd) games.
Pending Free Agents (PFF Grade)
LB Devin White (40.0)
CB Eric Stokes (73.6)
G Dylan Parham (63.6)
T Stone Forsythe (55.2)
C Jordan Meredith (57.7)
LB Elandon Roberts (57.2)
WR Tyler Lockett (53.8)
EDGE Malcolm Koonce (58.0)
LB Jamal Adams (67.3)
TE Ian Thomas (63.8)
S Lonnie Johnson Jr. (43.7)
K Daniel Carlson (76.1)
Likely Departures
Along with a myriad of departing free agents unlikely to warrant new deals, reports of key Raiders players being up for grabs have also dominated the headlines over the past month. Trade talks surrounding edge rusher Maxx Crosby (traded) are the marquee topic in Vegas right now. Quarterback Geno Smith is a potential release candidate, with the Raiders expected to take Heisman Trophy winner and national champion quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first pick in the draft.
Free-Agent Targets
Roster needs are everywhere and cap space is plentiful, making the Raiders a potential destination for nearly any name in free agency. The expectation is that they will be in on some of the biggest names, including center Tyler Linderbaum, to help overhaul the offensive line.

The Raiders are widely expected to select quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick, and their free-agency strategy should revolve around that choice. After the struggles of the offensive line in 2025, asking a rookie quarterback to succeed without major improvements up front would be a risky proposition. Fortunately for Las Vegas, the team has the financial resources to significantly upgrade the unit.
The group should receive an immediate boost with the return of left tackle Kolton Miller, who missed most of last season due to injury. Still, the rest of the line remains in need of reinforcement. Veteran guard Isaac Seumalo is the top-rated free-agent guard available, and while the 32-year-old may not represent a long-term solution, he remains one of the better pass blockers at the position and could stabilize the interior.
The Raiders should not stop there. Adding Connor McGovern would further strengthen the unit. Like Las Vegas’ Jackson Powers-Johnson, McGovern offers versatility to play both guard and center and has been one of the league’s more reliable pass-blocking centers in recent seasons. His 70.8 PFF pass-blocking grade in 2025 ranked 10th among centers.
With ample cap space available, the Raiders should not hesitate to address the offensive line multiple times during free agency.
